Check out this Police Investigation into the PSX2

A friend of mine bought a PSX2 from one of the numerous web-sites that sold PSX2.  But he got ripped off.  Well here is the police report on it.

The Fountain Valley Police Department in conjunction with the Palo Alto Police Department and the U.S. Postal Inspectors Office is investigating a company known as GAMETEK.  This company is located at 17284 Newhope St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708 and they have a web site of http://www.PS2CART.COM.   GAMETEK has taken approximately 2500 orders via the Internet for PLAYSTATION 2 Game Systems.  Each game has a value of $349.99 and orders have been received from throughout the United States.  As of this date, this company does not have this merchandise in stock and no PLAYSTATION 2 Game Systems have been delivered to any potential customer.  All sales have been completed over the Internet.

Any additional victims should contact the Fountain Valley Police Department at (714) 593-4485 or they may complete a Victim Notification Form on our web site at http://www.fountainvalley.org/gametek   .  No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation continues.

Speaking of Gametek, someone on another forum claimed he worked for that company, and has PS2s to sell. No one believed him of coarse (or at least I hope no one believed him there). Now what has happened to them in recent days, I\'m glad no one took this guy seriously.
