Majority of PS4 Games Are Playable on PS5, Select PS4 Games to get a Boost on PS5The official PlayStation support page has released details on backwards compatibility for PlayStation 4 games running on the PlayStation 5.The "overwhelming majority" of PlayStation 4 games will be playable on the PlayStation 5. Select PS4 games will get a "Game Boost" running on the PS5, which may make the games run with a higher or smoother frame rate.While the majority of PS4 games are playable on the PS4, some PS4 functionalities may not be available on the PS5. Some PS4 games "may exhibit errors or unexpected behavior when played on PS5 consoles." A handful of the PS4 games tested on the PS5 did not work and are listed as "Playable on: PS4 only."Read all the information below:The PS5™ console is backward compatible with the overwhelming majority of PS4™ games. That means an amazing collection of thousands of PS4 games can be played on your PS5 console.PS4 games playable on PS5 consolesThe overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 games are playable on PS5 consoles.
