The most I\'ve gotten was 198.##% (I forgot what the decimal numbers were) with every bit on the map found. I think the last 1% is when we fight the final boss.

EDIT:  Actually, the highest "non-glitch" rating is exactly 200.6%.  Check out some FAQs here (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/game/19969.html) if you want to learn how to obtain it.

I got over 200%, it was 202.6% or something like that.  I got exactly 200% from clearing up all the map areas.  You probably didn\'t clear all the areas (there might be a spot or two you probably didn\'t clear it) so check the map real carefully from both right side and inverse castle to see if there is still a spot you miss or pass it without clearing it.  Oh yeah, when you fight the last boss, take my advice and use library card and it will take you back to the long library because in that way, you could clear one more spot and remember to save afterward.  If you did as I said, you might get exact 200%...the extra 2.6% is either a secret or a glitch...I have no clue.  I found it out from a site.  you have to level the sword card up to 99 first.  that is a long process...then use the brother sword special attack...i forgot the move...use this special attack when you get to a spot before getting to the bell tower.  when you did the brother sword attack, the sword started to spin, before the sword finish spinning, turn into a bat and flew up this ceiling and you will eventually fly through the ceiling and out of the castle and clear up invisible white spot.  Do the same to the inverse castle and you will eventually get 202.6%....

To Claypool 2001

I can\'t find the site but I have a copy of paper about getting extra percentage completion of the game:

here is the quote:
Quote

Hint: More Game Completion percentage:
Note: This requires your sword familiar be at Level 99/Experience 99

Once you have collected the Sword Card and the Soul of Bat relic, go to the Royal Chapel.  In the very bottom-left corner of the first Bell Tower is a door to a room with two large candles.  Stand in the bell tower, activate the Sword Familiar, and do the Sword Brother\'s spell (Down, Downright, Right, Upright, then hold Up for a second, Down, Circle or Square.)  While the sword is spinning, shift into a bat and fly to the left.  Youshould stay in the bell tower and be able to fly up and around the outside of it.  This will fill in a white block on your map, which counts on your percentage.  This can also be done in the inverted Chapel.

Hope that helps.

Damn, that was my exact problem as well.  Too bad I lost the mem. card with my 198% on it.  :D  Oh well, I\'m way too lazy to try and do it again.  Besides, I can\'t find my SotN anymore.

Anyone remember Time Pilot?  Another Konami great.  I also remember blacking out from playing Jackal for days on end with almost NO sleep.  Loved that game.

If there ever was a bad Konami game it would be Gun Gauge. Bought it at EB and took it back the next day, sh*tty controls.
