it\'s ture! GT4 is already on the drawing board with online play, i read this in the newest july issue of PSM here is the story " and it\'s a short 1 at that :)"


        Sony has officially begun on a new sequel to grn turismo 3. The project, tentavietly titled "Gran Turismo Network", promises online multiplay! the prospects of racing in a game qith gran turismo\'s trademark quality over the internet with no latency is so far beyond our comprehension that we dont dare imagine it :p.  Given polyphony and Sony\'s close working relationship, chances are that director Kazunori Yamauchi and his Gran Turismo Team have an early working knowledge ont he specs for PS2\'s online capabilities, hopefully bringing us a game sooner than later.

I thought this was widely bantared about 6 months ago.  I guess now that it is in a magazine it is official.  

Well, at this rate they may as well make it for PS3 cause they aren\'t putting out new versions of their games so quick.

WOW, this is unexpected.  Who\'d ever thought.  But I think eventually it would happen.  But the thing is I dont want to wait another century t play it..!!

i know there is some upset people ( including me ) for the dalays of GT3, but i think the movement from PSX to PS2 was a big one, as sony needed to prove there was a significant difirence between the PSX and PS2 so they had to make sure everything is right.

but now, they have a solid foundation for future PS2 GT games... so i think we won\'t see similar waiting time ( 2 years ) next time. i would guess GT4 could come out within a year from now..

Everyone calm down GT3 didnt even come out yet... its not gonna be till like 2005 anyway in teh Americas I bet and then like 2007 in Europe... you guys get WAYYYYY overhyped about games when they\'re years away.. sheesh wait till GT3 first...

now this is damn good news. FackinKubuss is right though, don\'t get too overhyped but still get excited, this is awesome :)

Good question though, WILL this just be an online racer?? Or a true sequel... i can\'t wait to hear the answer to this question.

Ah well, in any case, there are gonna be a lot of people put to the test if the Tribal Dragons take on this game... ##RaCeR## will have to show us just how big a GT fan he really is :D

I really don\'t think the next game will be delay ridden like gt-3 was. Now that they know how to use the system I imagine they will just improve on the game engine they have and add more cars, courses, improve the graphics, and add more effects.
I am hoping to see real time weather changes in the sequel myself

What kind of car would a dragon drive?  They have such short arms and a funky mid section.  Not to mention the big beefy legs.  Can we race jeeps on the thing?  Then the head can stick out the top and we can blow fire on people.

I\'m with Video on this one.

I thought it was common knowledge that GT4 would be online.

If it has any latency (lag) at all, it will suck hardcore. So, they better focus on that big time.

For some odd reason I think I would love to see Jeeps in gt4, I don\'t know why, but I just think it would truly complete the series ;)
