Basically, which is the best hook up for the PS2
-
as in Audio...video and such or something else?????
-
Component cables for video.
-
I have my PS2 hook up with a S-Video cable on a Sony tv, but Component cables are the best. :D
-
agreed...mine is hooked up through crappy Coax RF thingie....my audio isnt tho...I got the Cambridge Soundworks Playworks DTT2500 Digital which does Dolby 5.1, Dolby Digital and surround I have my VCR, and my digital Cable hooked up through it.....Just watched Tron On Starz with it...........my folks were yelling at me to turn it down........... I wish they would come out with a Tron PS2 game......OH PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! It might put the movie to shame tho :) .I have my PS2 hooked up to the living room TV through s-video and it looks good! Monster cables all the way, they are the best around and a little expensive but it is worth it.
-
S-cables are the best imo
-
now, after I get the componet cables, where do i plug them in? is there an adapter? or is it only on really good tv\'s? hook a brother up!
-
You have to have a component video input on your tv. One of the newer ones. They have been out for quite a while, but it won\'t be on your basic TV. If you see Red Blue and Green rca jacks in the back of your tv then you are in luck. This does not count the Red and white audio cable inputs. This is just video. So that would make a total of 5 RCA inputs.
Good luck......

I believe VGA is better than Component cable.
although, my hookup for psx Not ps2 is regular RCA jacks, composite type...It show up too much dots crawl on my tv.
-
VGA is of course better. It\'s progressive scan. But this is not readily available yet. Some third party adapters, but I haven\'t heard anyone saying they work very well.

thanks for the input!!!
