I like using the Analog as much as I can. The D-pad feels to stiff to me.
-
Usually on the PS2, you have no option but to use it. I voted Analog all the way because It makes me feel like it lets you move around more freeley.
-
I got used to using the tiny stick on the Gravis Gamepad Pro with the PC version of NBA Live 2000, so it was no problem switching to the analog stick with the PS2. My 8 year old nephew just has a PS1, and he told me he hates the stick. Ah well little kids always hate things until they try them.

I use both
I prefer the D-Pad for SSX, but for FPS I need the sticks.
It depends on the game

Same here. I know SSX was meant to be played with the analog sticks but its too hard to do tricks with them.
IMO the TimeSplitters control scheme rocked.

depends on the game
fighting - D- pad
racing - analog
adventure - analog
puzle - D -pad
shooter - both
sports - analog

whoops! I must be getting tired because I looked at the options and KNEW in my head that analog MEANT D-Pad, so I voted analog all the way, when I meant to put D-Pad all the way!, maybe I ought to go to bed?

Exactly my thoughts. It all depends on the game u are playing.

I use both analog and digital for SSX, I find it the best way to control. Analog for steering, digital for performing trick wind-ups and quick flips and spins. Perfect.
Overall, I prefer analog controls to use whenever possible. I just purchased Sled Storm today and it\'s a ***** to play with an analog stick, so I\'m forced to use didjital controls. If I could use the same setup as with SSX it\'d be great, but if I switch on the analog mode, the digital mode is switched off. Grr, like.

D-Pad 4 Ever!
In sports games, analog is crap, but in FPS a combination of D-Pad and analog is great.
-
i only use it for FPS or pretty much any 3D game out there, so i guess i use them all the time then.........
-
i use anouloge as much as possible, i used to not like it, and found it harder but now its all i use, especially on sports games as you can run at angles you cant on a d pad
-
Analog for most games except SSX and Tony Hawk.
-
D-Pad or nothing. I don\'t care what game it is, if I have the option to use the D-Pad I will.
I never have been a fan of analog controllers, the only one I ever liked was the analog controller that came with Saturn\'s "Nights!".

What I did was I switched the control configuration to "Advanced"(i think, the second option) . Its much easier to use the sticks and the game is a lot funner. Try it out.

Onimusha would have been so much better for me if it was analog!!!

same here, steering is better with analog, and tricks are done with D-pad for me :)
Overall,I prefer analog.

well i am just use to the d pad and always prefer to use it - the analog just doesn\'t feel right to me
-
IMO, the only games that the D-pad is better for is fighting games. Everything else needs the analog or I can\'t stand playing it. Playing Onimusha felt wierd because it used the D-pad instead of analog.

Yes, Nights was a real game and a gameplay and story revolution.
