The option "All of the above" is missing for some reason. I\'d pick that.

Starwing was a revolution for SNES. Such fast 3D graphics were new for 16Bit consoles.

hhmmm...don\'t you mean Star Fox?

I had both a Genesis and a SNES before my PSX and I barely ever played my Genesis, the SNES was just too good. FFIV, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World 1 and 2, Super Punch-Out, Super Metroid, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country 1-3, MegaManX, Star Fox, F-Zero, etc etc! The SNES was the best system of all time IMO. When I was a kid I would play that thing all day. I\'m gonna go play some more of it now...

Before PSX (All 20 years before PSX) were videogames I played. I had Segas, Nintendos, 3DO, Atari, NEC, Intellivision, Coleco, etc, etc, etc.

My most played before PSX was definetly Genesis with it\'s addons though. In temrs of selection and variety, like always, Sega couldnt be beat.

What a retarded poll. Mainstreamers.... there was dozens of systems by more than 3 companies before Sonys ass came into the picture.

i was a nintendo man all the way, right from the NES. And yes, SNES in my opinion also is the best console of all time, it just had everything... I still play secret of mana on my snes to this day, as well as a heap of other games

Super international cricket, that was a ripper of a game right there....

anyway, yeah, a friend who lived down the road had a megadrive and mastersystem, but still in my opinion nintendo ruled supreme

Thats why there is an option for None of the above. Sega and Nintendo were the main ones which only the Mainstreamers would know. Thats why I only posted those ones cause most people that play games are mainstreamers.

Depends. Durring the pre-Sega & Nintendo era, I loved my TI-99/4A. Yeah, it sucked in compairison to some of the other consoles out there.. but I was just a kid. Plus it had the voice synthesizer, which really blew my socks off. It might have sounded a bit like WOPR, but it TALKED!

When my parents picked up the Sega Mastersystem, I was hooked on Sega games for life. In fact, I used to get made fun of for liking a company "noone had ever heard of". But my SMS blew the NES away in all aspects save for the sheer quantity of games, so I always ended up walking away from those people with a smug grin. I\'ve owned every sega console and add-on since except for the Nomad and Dreamcast.. which I will pick up as soon as my finacial situation settles down again or my tax returns get in. (Well, I didn\'t own the Sega VR system or the Sega computer.. but those were more or less prototypes that didn\'t get around to my area.)

I also love my PC for all the classic games I\'ve played on it over the years. To tell the truth, there\'s quite a few times my Genesis got neglected due to games like Leisure Suit Larry, King\'s Quest, Jill of the Jungle, Commander Keen, CountDown, Doom, Martian Memorandum... and of course.. Quest for Glory. However, computers were very expencive, and being a kid I couldn\'t upgrade for the newer games. (Hell it wasn\'t till 97 that I finally got my 486!)

Sony hooked me with Resident Evil and Destruction Derby 2. I had planned on buying a Saturn after watching the demo video Sega sent me.. but in the end, Bug, Black Fire, and Clockwork Knight just couldn\'t compete with the games on Sony\'s console. Never before had I seen such raw violence and mature oriented games on a console. Comming from Boogerman, Zombies ate my Neighbors, and Sonic.. it was quite a blow to me that Sony would allow such games when everyone else was afraid to after the "NightTrap/Mortal Kombat" fiasco on Capital Hill.

Eventually, I bought the NES, SNES, Saturn, and N64 (actually, it\'s my sisters.. but I put it to the most use). They\'re all great machines, but they don\'t have what it takes to be my favorites.

So even though I voted Sega.. I\'m really kind of an "All of the Above" guy. Sierra (pre-98), Sega, and Sony will always be at the top of my favorite companines list.
