I must admit, Microsoft is very smart about spending some of that 500Million on Taco Bell advertisement, to get to the casual gamer.
Today when I spoke to the manager about job openings, I saw a piece of paper that had a notice saying something about the X-Box.
So I asked him about and he said that\'s it\'s part of Taco Bell teaming up with Microsoft to promote the X-Box this fall. And they sent him the notice to let him know what would be sent to him this summer.
From what he had shown me:
This fall Taco Bell drinks will have an X-Box logo on it with Oddworld, WWF Raw Is War, and NFL 2002 on the cover with alot of characters too.
They will have a big logo outside of the Taco Bell restaurant promoting it.
and alot of stuff this fall.
Like I said above this is a very smart idea, because when people start to see all these advertisments, and all those good graphics, they cannot help but check out the system, and see what all the hype is. And since I will be working there often, it may start to get me interested in the X-Box more.

smart? i dunno bout that. just cause i see some graphics on the side of my coke( whick im gunna guzzle and throw away anyway) doesnt make me wanna buy an X-box. all it does is inform me that X-box is out there and the average gamer knows that anyway.

Sorry, the casual gamer looks for graphics 1st, and XBox will offer them some of the best this generation
Millions of people visit Taco Bells everyday, this will prove to be a positive for Xbox.
I don\'t think Xbox will take off in its 1st year, but with MS 500 million ad budget don\'t be surprised in a year or 2 XBox is competing for the top spot.
MS will have some cool games over its lifespan, its price is affordable, and it will be the most powerful console graphically.

yes, i see your point. and yes it is about grapphics with the casual gamer, and i agree that X-box will have the top graphics but i dont belive that the side of a soft drink container will show off the grahics well, unless they give u pictures or something with your meal, that would probably work well.

well don\'t forget magazine ads, newspaper ads, amd Television ads ontop of Taco Bell ads
Just making everyone awayre of XBox will help people to recognize the TV commercials and so on
I think towards the end of this console generation MS and Xbox will be alot more popular then most people believe simply because it will be able to do alot of stuff other consoles can\'t thanks to the NVidia GPU 64mb of memory and harddrive

yes it does, which allows developers to use it for every game ever made on the XBox
SOnys HD will never be used by Devs accept to allow those who own one to download extra levels and demos
Sony\'s HD will be more for those who want media content on the internet to stream through the PS2. Like movies and music

im drinking my mountian dew that i just got at toco bell, there is an ad for Tomb Raider. seems like every company wants to be on taco bell things.

What do you mean exactly by \'take off\'? I\'d bet money on MS having nearly every system reserved for launch, which if their projected 800,000 units are availible, will make their launch more successful than PS2\'s....

It may look like "ALPO"(Whatever that is...), but it sure is tastey.

ddaryl most fanboys cannot see the light. X-Box will be sucessful, and they will catch the number one fans they need and that is the casual gamer. When I showed that picture of Kane to my little brother and cousin, they reacted and said "Is that real, damn I get to get that x-box, it blows the PS2 away". When my dad saw it too, he said was it real also. Today or tomorrow I\'m going to pre-order the X-Box along with Raw Is War. X-Box is a great console, and it will suceed.

You know what?
I don\'t think there are ANY Taco Bells in ALL of Boston(I know there are NONE near my residence). That is weird. I guess we don\'t have enough rats for them to grind up for meat. :D
j/k I know we have more than enough rats to last a small country for a good hour and a half. ;)

I think its made of Taco Bell meat. Although sometimes it kind of tastes like a plain whopper......uh, so I\'ve been told. My friend Scoob relayed the message to me right before he ran and hid in a coffin.

Didn\'t Nintendo team up with Taco Bell to promote the N64? ... You get my point. This probably isn\'t going to make a big difference for XBOX sales.

1) Nintendo has an established brand name in the console business, everyone knows what a Nintendo is.
2) Nintendo 64 was the fastest selling console in histroy before DC came out.
3)casual gamers do NOT visit message boards. They do NOT look on the internet for when games come out etc. They go to the store with an ad in mind and buy a game. Having the X-Box out there will inform people that there IS an X-Box and it looks great.
4) Taco Bell is very good IMO. The Chicken Baja Chalupa and the Steak soft shell taco can\'t be beat! Sure, I love Wendy\'s and Burger King, but Chalupas are plain excellent tasting.
