ok so this one is to the under dogs for the gaming world, (people who live in Europe).
now this is not a thing thats just linited to Sony, and the idea of Games slipping happens to all systmes, but for some reason it\'s the PAL gamers that seem to get pooped on from a extreme hight.
Now lets just look at a few PS2 titles (seeing that this is a PS2 site after all).
RING OF RED (Still not out) US gamers have Completed it ages ago
Onimushia ((By the ime we get it the sequal will be out in the US)
Dark Cloud (Same)
Now sorry to point out a very important fact but what is the delay in these games.
Why are we being hit by delay after delay :(
anyhoo this ones for the EU gamer to have agood cry over :crying: while we at for the killer games to start to be released.

Yup :crying: the only way round it for us UK residents is to buy a US PS2 and import the games.
Looks like us Brits had btter start saving.

I will trade my NTSC system for your poopy PAL system, since ISS Pro Evo 3, LMA Manager 2002, and UEFA Challenge (to mention but a few) will NEVER come out in North America.
In fact, I may end up having to buy a \'poopy PAL\' system so I can play those games here in Canada, so quit yer whining, a wait of a few months is nothing compared to a wait of...FOREVER...

Well, just to brighten up the days of you Europeans, let me say this
We down here in Australia have got it worse... grrrr, we get delays ON TOP of the delays you get. When a game finally arrives in Europe we know there\'s not THAT much longer till it comes here, it\'s quite annoying

Yes, it\'s VERY annoying... and sometimes the pal-convertions are as poopy as the delays... :rpissed:

Yes, like TTT (speed), UT (I wait 5 months for nothing), ZOE (no MGS2 demo in germany)

Many games are not released in Germany... why is that? I read today that even Perfect Dark was "banned" there and didn\'t get a release?
I hate these stupid regions the gaming world has been split into. We (Europe) didn\'t get any of the FFs before FFVII, never got Parasite Eve. Even the Final Fantasy collections don\'t get a release here! The list goes on... Well, that\'s life...

yeah lavan but atleast you could get 2 ps2 so you could play football game on pal, and also get every other game apart from football before us europeans. Hawke you ever play parasite eve???? i imported it it was ok, not excellent though, fights were a bit like vagrant story, as in the range in a sphere part, not the chains, i got on disk 2 into the museum and had to fight some tricerotops thing but could never find it, i searched on the internet but never could find it where they told me

Out here in PAL land we NEVER got Parasite Eve or Final Fantasy Tactics. There are a few others too that I cant think of at the moment. Xenogears. I think thats what it\'s called and Boshido Blade 2 etc.....

Well I spotted a review of Ring of red on cybernet (naff videogames show on itv late at night) so cant be that long until it hits these shores, saying that I havent seen any mention of it on gameplay.com where I usually order from so... Also on Cybernet tonight was some great footage of Wipeout fusion showing a semi transparant loop and loads of high speed thrills all in glorious high res (well compared to what movies Ive seen on the net sofar) catch the repeat later this week/early next week if you can.
As for the NTSC/PAL thing, PAL users get the short end of the stick without doubt, we wait for months for a game to be released and nine times out of ten we get a rough title with borders both top and bottom and runs substantially slower than its NTSC counterpart, at the _very least_ the developers and publishers should give us a option to run it at 60hz -for those who have tvs which can handle it or ideally gives us full screen 50hz. Suppose its time for me to shutup and buy what they ship, its not like I have much choice. sigh.

I personally reckon with the advent of Digital satellite here in the uk, and the increase of affordable quality
televisions, that about 75% of the UK poulation have a NTSC capable television set. Sony should know this,
they make televisions and have access to sales figures in the UK. Most sony televisions have NTSC compatibility
so it seems dumb that so many Pal PS2 games have no 60hz option. Is that a fair assumption?

Yeah I would say so. Its a sorry situation, which is mainly plain anonying. I mean I wouldn\'t mind, I don\'t take it personally but when there seems to be no decent valid reasons why do Sony hold off these games for PAL gamers, and it certainly ain\'t converstion.
