I\'m gonna take the road test next month...kinda scared...how many times did it take you guys to pass it? I need some opinion on the people who have already passed...
-
well i took the test once and passed with an 91 i think - something like that
who would have known to because i can be a crazy driver sometimes - well a safe kind of crazy if thats possible
don\'t be worried - if you know you can drive then you have nothing to worry about
-
you actually get a score for it? what\'s the passin\' "grade"??
-
well the test might differ from state to state
but its just like school - you have to have 70 percentile or something like that
but in NY it might be different
-
hmm...that\'s what I thought...
I think in NY especially in NYC..one mistake and you get the big F
-
hmm i don\'t think they grade that hard or there would be alt of people without licenses in new york and also there would be a lot less stupid drivers if it were that tough - not saying NY is full of stupid drivers
-
I dont know what my grade was but i know i barely passed!!! the instructor said that we could only make 9 mistakes and he looked directly at me when he said it!!!
-
They don\'t grade here in Massachusetts. I believe its up to the discretion of the State Trooper. If he thinks you can drive he will pass you if not then he will fail you. At least I think thats how it is because they have passed people that couldn\'t parallel park and reverse and failed people who could do everything but 3 point turns.

here in canada we get points added to our score, we start with zero and everytime we make a mistake the instructor adds some points if u go above ten points u fail.

This weekend I\'m gonna get my permit.... and I feel pretty confident
Note- I turned 14 last July 25..... so I\'m gonna be pretty close to 15 when I finally get the test taken...
-
It took me three tries. Which is funny cause I really am one fine driver. Never been in an accident. Never even been pulled over.

Since I went through the Drivers Education course at school, I never had to take the driving test. So if they\'ll let you do that, I\'d say just take Drivers Ed. Just remember to time it right. I ended up taking the driving section durring the winter, and the actual bookwork later that spring. (So basically they just put me on icy roads with absolutely NO preperation in a kind of "sink or swim" situation.)
Take your bookwork first, and then do the driving part in the winter. It\'ll help prepare you for driving in slick conditions. Plus, they usually let you do doughnuts and spinouts to help you learn how to steer into the slide when you loose control. Awesome fun!!
The bookwork is simple. Like everything in driving, it\'s mostly common sence. Just study the numbers and pay attention to the test. I would have gotten a perfect score if I hadn\'t gotten to overconfident and accidentially pushed the wrong button.

Here in Illinois I took the drivers ed. course the first semester of my soph year. If you are going to turn 16 before Jan, you take drivers ed. first semester, everybody else takes it second semester. We went through the book, watched some crash videos, some of which were pretty gruesome, then took the test to get the permit. After that we had simulators that we went through, then finally we had the driving. I had to drive in the snow nearly everytime I drove, though it wasn\'t that bad, I don\'t mind driving in the snow. After I had enough hours of driving, I went to get my drivers license at the driver services facility, the guy only made me drive around the block and I got my license.
