Post by: Claypool 2001 on June 04, 2001, 06:40:31 PM
Now, I dont know much about the XBox, i only know from what I read on this board and other boards. So the XBOX HAS DVD playback, but you need to buy a remote to "activate" it? give me the info about the DVD thing!!!!

So people don\'t buy just the system and DVDs, like a lot of Japanese did with PS2 at launch.

It\'s still kinda stupid. If ppl were gonna buy it just for DVDs, then they\'ll just buy the system + remote. No big deal.

I dont think $30-40 is going to stop people...

It\'s not to stop them so much as it is to know how many users are interested possibly solely in the DVD playback as opposed to the gaming options.  Not to mention it\'s a way to make a cool $40 back to compensate some other hardware losses.
