ive had this game for a say now and i must say it the best game ive played so far ( remeber not in usa so havent played the likes of onimusha) but this game is soooooo excellent, i cant write a review yet as ive got to go to work soon. but this game makes me feel like when i first played resident evil, excited and very happy ive bought a ps2 and the game ( re being my favourite game on ps1) the region action button thing is so excellent, and aiming is very cool....believe me get this game :D

In my opinion this game beats all RE series.Are you still with Roger?,that guy is funny.

you mean the bloke at the start,if so no. got a bit into it but had to stop as had to sleep just gonna play it in a min as ive just fin work. but this is one hell of a game

ok ive played this game more and it just gets better, the action is excellent , far better than re series, this is how the next one should be done, you can actually interact with background, well jump over them etc, it improves the game a lot, insted of pushin a ladder to a shelf so you can pick what ever off it you just jump up and get it. got to go cos got to play it more :D

wow thats something i thought id never see, a american asking for the release date after a european gamer, as we normally get the crap end of the stick

Well, finnish game-program Tilt! reviewed Extermination. While it looked quite good, the review gave it an average rating, saying that it tries to combine Resident Evil with Metal Gear Solid, but with only average results.
But go and see - I never trust Tilt!\'s reviews. I will trust your review more, kopking, so bring it on ;)

graphics - they are smooth and every thing look good, the main character runs a bit weird, but i only noticed as i hadnt read a reveiw and didnt know what to expect. but after about a min i forgot about it. enemies and backgrounds look good, i espesiccally like the snow storm and the way you shield your face from the snow as you run. there are a few glitces where enimies arms come through a wall, but not very often.you can run, walk jump ,hang of edges, shimmy along small edges, climb ladders, jump from ladder to hanging rails. maybe more but i havnt found it or may of missed it
Sound- sounds good but sometimes the voice acting is not the best, effect sound good, and some music really adds to the whole effect of the game. one prob as the talking doesnt go completely in with the mouth moving, but this is because the game can be played in other languages, so it a best for all. sometime the camera can get a bit restrictive as in re, but a single push of a button puts behind you.
Gameplay- starts a bit slow , like all great horror movies, you only see small enemies as you begin, but they soon start to get bigger, badder, better. the action region thing works a trick, and its quite easy to dodge the baddies.there are to typesof aiming, third person and 1st person. you get weopons that add to your gun as in what ive seen so far, torch(not a good weopon but illuminates dark places)shotgun, flame thrower, genade/rocketlauncher. you also get a knife , which unlike re is usefull. when in first person mode you also get a sniper scope after a while so its cool as you can shoot enimeis weak points.aiming is done like re, but better a laser come out so you can see where you are aiming, also locks onto enemies. not many puzzles, no find the bisho key stuff here. but there are some puzzles but not excactly like re. moving around is easy and being able to jump off ledges/ climb stuff makes it so much better, but thank god they havent just used this and made a 3d platform jumping, there isnt that much, and it isnt see how many times you can die as you tr to get a extra mm on your jump. you can carry as much as you want, but there are only a few thing for you to carry. so far i found the story line good, it may not be original but name a film/game that really is
overall. i found this a really good game. when i played it i found myelf really excited, the only other game to do that was re, sh and mgs. this is a really great game and my advice is get it:D

Hmm...just finished a gun battle with those aliens using machine guns.
Its super cool ,just like MGS,the gun battle is tense and dense with bullets .You cannot fight them in close space,you have to run and search an area where you can hide and take cheap shots.
In one place there are 3 of them each carrying 2 machine guns and firing them both at same time,you can imagine the intensity of 6 guns shooting at a hiding hero,waiting for them to finish their rounds and exchanging fire.

I have just realised that those gun totting monsters are your previous comrades,they have been mutated by the aliens to fight against you!

another good thing about this game is that there is ahrdly any backtracking, the whole game flows and feels like very fluid and you find the way with ease, unlike re, with lots of back tracking and of cours you forgot to take the " insert weird object" so you go to go back half an hour to the save room to get it :( this game gets better and better i love it soooooooo much.also the puzzles are more like a doors lock you got to find another way in or something, not take a blue crystal out of a satue put it into another to unlock a door...how many people got a front door/ a door with a lock like that in there house????

In an EGM magazine I have they are changing the main character because they don\'t want him to look like SF\'s Gabe Logan.

I read in videogames.com ,the original character got the Japanese look,so they are changing it to a western.
They are also making the game more difficult in US version,hard to find ammo and hard to kill monsters.

I\'ve been thinking about this game for a while now..... I might have to rent it first......... then buy it... if I love it of course.

Buy it, you won\'t regret it, this game is a must have if you\'re a survival fan.
The reviews were not so good, but the game is really excellent, all players on boards love it.
I\'m playing it since one week now, and its really challenging, I love it, I think it\'s one of the best
adventure/action/horror games out on PS2 now
(we still don\'t have Onimusha...)

for those who got the jap version ( waspman) has the bloke got on white uniform or black, as im from the uk and hes got a black costume on, but ive seen pic and hes got black on... or is that just the american version, as i heard there changing what he looks like. im on the end boss now, this game is cool, it really just gets better and better, believe me its great :D

Yesn they changed his suit and mostly his face for american/european version, to make him look more
occidental, or less asian if you prefer...
