well, personally, my fav\'s are Empire and Jedi...and i know a lot of people were disappointed with Jedi as an ending to the trilogy, but theres just something about it i like...the final confrontation, even though it didnt fully explain enough...was just great
Episode 1 IMO is the worst, but it did have the best light saber battle, i love that final battle in that movie, when the door opens and Darth Maul is standing there
what does everyone else think?

As the formost authority of all things StarWars in this forum, I officially declare EpisodeV : Empire Strikes Back to be the best movie of the series, so far. The incredible twist of Vader being Luke\'s father was a Shakespearan master-stroke, veild with a sci-fi StarWars esque. Nowhere in the series has there been a more shocking, thought provoking, climax.

that is very true, one reason why i love that episode so much...but,theres just something about Jedi that i love, Yodas death, luke taking on the emperor and vader, trying to convert vader back, seeing vaders face, leia in the bikini :D, therefore its my choice.

hehe, just imagine her repreising her role in a re-do to "hi-tech-alise" the old trillogy! IEEEWWWWWW!!! But put Natalie Portman in her shews and you\'ve got the best slave girl in gold lengeré that ever was!!! Dang, I really hope Ep2 has something like that in it.

well, it was a tough choice. I\'ve seen each episode SO many times. You\'re right avvy, the twist that Darth vader was indeed Luke\'s father was almost overwhelming. But still, i voted Return of the Jedi. It didn\'t have as good a plot twist, but still, it was just a fantastic movie, you got the final confrontation. The twist that Leia and Luke were sisters. Death of Yoda. Seeing Darth without the mask, and the MAGIC of those cast extras dancing in their 15 minutes of fame in the "post-destruction-of-empire" party on endor. It was just a very well rounded movie, and I actually feel that it was a somewhat fitting end to the series...
Phantom menace was definitely the worst. Anybody who saw all 3 original episodes in their ORIGINAL form, ie. NOT the mastered versions that were re released a few years ago, will know there was a certain feel, and aura about the series. Star wars the name made you feel something, it was just something about it. I really didn\'t think the phantom menace captured that feel at all, and in a way almost didn\'t feel like a true part of the series.
Meh... it had COOL light saber battles, and natalie portman... I suppose there\'s little else you could want ;)

empire strikes back is the best. i dont like the ewoks in it, also of you havent seen the last 2 (4 and 5) you wont understand it. my friend watched with out watching the others and thought it was ok, but not great

The Empire Strikes Back is the best one... however when the one comes out wit Boba Fett in it, thats gonna be the best cause he\'s the coolest.

ESB: the best of the four.
It had the best plot, twists, everything.
The special fx were drastically improved and this helped make it the special movie that it is.
Your right on one thing though, kop... I don\'t like the Ewoks in it either... ;)

Stupid question. Empire by a long shot. Now the real question is which movie is better. Empire of Raiders of the lost Ark.

Empire is the best one yet, why? cause, Solo gets his ass frozen or what ever that crap was, and Vader is just awsome !
I think it was one of the darkest Starwars movies, that is why fans like it, not this Jar-Jar bings crap :D
Phantom was a kiddie movie, i hope part 2 will be better, I hope they explore Anakins turning to the dark side. YEAH !!! :bounce:
Darth Maul was the coolest character from the Phantom movie, and they killed him! dumbass Lucas!!!!

Ah yes of course! THE SpecialFX!! Everyone remember the asteroid feild scene? That totally kicks the speeders-through-the-forest and the final space battle with Death Star II!!!
