I put this bad boy together a little over a month ago for a grand total of $1100. (This does not include a monitor)
- AMD Thunderbird Axia C 266fsb, 1.2 Ghz
- FIC AD11 motherboard
- 256 MB DDR SDRAM PC2100
- Maxtor DiamondMax+ 30G , 7200RPM ATA-100
- Toshiba 12x40x DVD-ROM
- ATI Radeon
- SBLive!5.1
- Linksys lne100tx 10/100 Ethernet
- 300w Antec Power Supply
- Logitech Cordless Freedom Pro USB Keyboard+Mouse (this kicks major boote)
- Windows 2000 Pro
It\'s a hoss and it\'s connected to the net via 600k/s Cable Modem. How does your machine compare to my power!!?

I bet my Acer Pentium with Win98 can crash in half the time yours can... oh wait.. that\'s not good. Damn..
Weeeellllllll... My other Pentium\'s case is off my 386DX and it weighs in at over 50lbs (46 with no components on the inside) due to it\'s solid steel frame and is a MASSIVE beast. So I\'ve got both weight and durability on my side. Unfortunately, that\'s all I\'ve got since I don\'t have the cash to upgrade yet and really it\'s just a Frankenstein of older computers. (8mb Ram, 540 mb HDD, 1 com port, Reveal VSA Video Card with 1mb Ram, 4x Cd rom, and a 5 1/2 & 3 1/4 disk drives.)

That\'s funny. I kept using my old Zeos 486 case for the longest time. I wish I could still use it, but it\'s a Baby AT case, so it\'s now incompatible with ATX motherboards. It\'s funny when people look at the case, and it says "486" on it, and you have to tell them "No, it\'s a Pentium 225, really!"

You don\'t even have a CD-R... I\'d trade all that excess power for my 800mhz with it\'s CD-R any day of the week. Funny how you mentioned "Radeon" and MM said "eww." I wonder what BB employees stock in their home PC\'s that put them a step above everyone else because as far as the benchmarks are concerned, the ATI Radeon stacks up to the GeForce 2 while remaining considerablly less pricey. Of course there\'s the GeForce 3... I won\'t even get into that.

Where can you get comps with Tbirds? I can\'t find them anywhere where you can customize your own PC. I tried Best Buy but they said they dont carry Tbirds anymore. Where can I get them I REALLY wnat one, I hear youc an save alot of money by gettin this instead of a pentium 4, I also heard that Tbirds are better for playin games...

The GeForce 3 is a graphics card. The newest and most powerful one available. It is the successor to the GeForce 2 and is manufactured by Nvidia.
It costs about $350 most places.

I put that system together myself and got my parts from these sites:[list=1]
- NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com)
- Directron (http://www.directron.com)
- PCStop (http://www.pcstop.com)
- DirectDeals (Good for Software) (http://www.directdeals.com)
I know it\'s a Radeon, but the Kyro II wasn\'t out yet and I couldn\'t wait on it. The Radeon is actually a beautiful card. My burner is an old one and it\'s in my Red Hat machine. I\'m still waiting for a good deal on a Plexwriter.
