""I\'ve heard a lot of comments from various disillusioned sources regarding our game and the fact that it\'s \'Too good to be true\'. I\'d like to give a little background which may help some of you understand our development cycle a bit better.
Our core game idea is simply to allow the player to \'evolve\' his own unique character, and to ensure that nearly all decisions and actions he takes have some effect on the world, its opinions and even its physical make up.
Although there is a core story running through the game we aim to give as much freedom as we possibly can.
We will temper our ideas of freedom with our experience, ensuring we make things as fun as possible. Regardless of how \'logical\' a certain feature would be, if we don\'t think it\'s fun, it\'s not going in.
One of the best ways to design a game is to have a strong core concept and then try to answer every \'Can you...?\' question we think of with the answer \'Yes!\'
We watch these boards to see what other questions people ask, to see which ideas people are most passionate about, and hopefully answer many of these with \'Yes\' in the future.""

So...which ideas You are most passionate about ?
Personally,I have always been dreaming a Game where you are "almost free"...a fully interactive environment,a not linear progress...a game where you can truly interact with the others characters and your actions affect their behaviour and your progress...but...again...you need a lot of power to do all this and a lot of effort...
I really like the Concept of this game and I hope Developers will do the best to put into practice all these innovative ideas!

Project Ego is easily my most anticipated Xbox game. Any idea of when it is going to be released?
BTW, These are some of the best in-game models we have seen so far this generation(assuming of course that they are in-game ;) )
-
hmmm i don\'t think there will ever be game where there is true freedom - the feeling of it can get closer and closer but there will never be true freedom becuase possible interactions are infinite
althought the idea i an awesome one - i anticpate this game as well

the ideas behind this game are really awesome, and the developers seem like they are up to the task.
this is one of my most anticipated titles under the x box cat.
plus the graphics are looking great, but i think the graphics are just fine for any console this generation.
its the games that will get me:D

this is gonna be a sweet game, potential block buster :)

...well...we are abviously speaking about a "relative" freedom, relative to the current available Power...we\'re refering to a step forward in this direction :)

This game seems like it will be one of the best games you get this generation on any console. Look for this too become a long living franchise like FF. And the graphic are some of the best and maybe the best I have seen so far. Time will tell.

dood, thats a pretty bold statement. We have no idea if the game will be popular even if it is good, yet would it be anywhere near the popularity of Final Fantasy? Then again, if a game like Tomb Raider can do it, why not a game with actual fun game play. And graphically, this game is pretty sweet.

Y\'all remeber Evolva? I mean, it\'s a far, far cry from what this game is trying to be, but I enjoyed making minute changes to my characters, and in the end having completely different characters from one game to the next.
But Black & White is really, really close already. I mean, you are a god! You can choose to pass goals set by the game as a good guy, a bad guy, or, like me, somewhere in-between. You yourself could be the good guy, but make the creature you control be the most evil being ever created! The more I play Black and White, the more I believe that my creature has an independant, unique personality than anyone else\'s who plays the game.
If these next gen. games can expand on that, then wow. That\'s all I can say, other than descibe my face of awe. (which i will hold back on right now)
P.S. I\'m an inspiring game programmer (still in college, gettin\' my BS in computer science) and am attending a lot of seminars on A.I. Some day I hope to be contributing to this kind of gaming concept.

I\'m trying to Add AI to my current project, it is not a game, but a useful software package geared towards the logistics sector. I hope to be able to add enough smarts so that high turn-over by employees won\'t effect the companies bottom line in training new employees too much. :D

Project Ego[/i]
XBOX I concur with your enthusiasm. I have a feeling this game is going to be something really special.
You see......
Peter Molyneux is an extremely talented, innovational programmer. Although he doesn\'t quite rank up there with Miyamoto or Yu Suzuki, his last two products (Black and White, and Deux Ex) are exceedingly and unbelievably great. The reason why I give both of them such kudos is because they are innovative titles that excel in terms of excellence. That is a rare thing to find. Unlike the typical sequel that merely improves on a successful formula, Peter Molyneux\'s products break new boundaries and does it in an incredibly eniment manner. I have a feeling Project Ego will fare just as well, and I look forward to playing it.
P.S. IMO I don\'t think comparing the game to FF will do it justice. :D

I totally agree
