I was at wal-mart, and they had S-video cables for $4!! so I bought oneand it improves so much!! the characters in Dark CLoud faces are some much sharpers, god!! that was the best $4 i ever spent!!
-
and what are s-videos ?
-
I agree!!!! Tell everyone who wasted 40-50 bucks on Monster Cables!!! Now go buy yourself another game with the cash you saved...
-
$4? wow, u got lucky, (but i guess its walmart, home of the richest man in the world)
so he can take some losses on those 4$ cables.;)
you should also try the Monster brand cables.
they are awesome, have gold connections, and make images great.

I got SVIDEO and a Scart Adapter so I can use it in my TV which doesnt have an SVideo socket as standard, unfortunatly it didn\'t work so I guess my TV isn\'t wired to accept SVideo through the Scart socket.
PS - If your wondering what Scart is cause your from America (you guys don\'t get Scart) well its the best quality cable we get, about the same as your component cable. SVideo comes in as second. I wanted to use SVideo though cause the DVD feature on UK PS2s play in Green Screen with Scart.

How did you connect a $4 s-video to your PS2??????
You have to have one end compatable with the outlet on the back of the PS2.
I think its a load of crap.

Perhaps a PS2 S-video cable that he got for 4 bucks. Why is that a load of crap? I bought mine for 10 so it\'s not that big of a deal to get it half off.
-
whats this guy talking about? Hasent he seen an S-Video cable for the PS2? I scan the damn box in if you dont believe me!

i got the game link 300 Monster S-video cables for 30 bucks a couple of weeks after the PS2\'s launch. I had the generic S-Video cables, you CAN tell the diference from generic S-Video cables and Monster S-Video cables, the color is better, the images sharper, it look better period, now its not like switching from rca ro s-video different, but if you are a hardcore gamer who wants the best o the best in his picture quality then i recommend the monster s-video cables, component cables are even more expensive and there is very little difference from s-video.

S video is ok. Component and VGA are much better. The DC looks amazing with the VGA box. I with the PS2 would release a VGA box.

actually, component quility depends on the TV. My s-vidio beats the crap out of my friends component. Otherwise... their really isn\'t that big of difference.
-
Everything depends on the tv. If your svid beats his component then if you had component it would beat his component. Everything is in the tube.
Oh, and Monster Cables are a waste. Or have I said that already?

$4 FOR S-VIDEO....HOO-RAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! S-Video for everyone!!!!!!
-
Well today I just went out and bought some S-Video cables for $8, and I must say it impresses me how much of a difference it makes. You can\'t fully appreciate a games graphics without S-Video cables.

maybe i should get one too. my TV has an S-VIDEO interface, but do yo guys think all TVs can take advantage of S-VIDEO or just newer TVs such as the ones with 100Mhz or better? i have a 3 year old Toshiba 28" TV which is very good, but not sure if it is going to benifit from the S-VIDEO cable or not. i tried my laptop once with S-VIDEO cable and the screen looked realy bright..

I have a Interact Scart cable and the quality is awesome. I never play with S-Video so I don\'t know how good S-Video cables are. I want to see how I kill my enemies with the best quality (in the game :))
