Title: Final Decision On The Best Console
Post by: PS2_-'_'-_PS2 on June 14, 2001, 10:02:18 AM: :nut:Could someone please just once and for all just compare the PS2 the XBOX and the Gamecube and find out:
1.)What has the best Graphics
2.)What is The fastest and any other things that all can be compared with each console!:nut:

Post by: AlteredBeast on June 14, 2001, 10:34:10 AM: the other two arent out yet, therefore, we have no way of knowing what is best. Although I am pretty sure that PS2 will not have the best grahpics and speed, graphics and speed dont make a game system great.

Yes great grapics would be a great thing with great gameplay. But i would\'nt care if it didnt have great graphics as long as it has great gameplay.

I defend PS2 on everything but I still know the X-BOX is going to have better graphics

Post by: JediMaster on July 06, 2001, 07:25:23 AM: You guys won\'t know till several more years. Gamecube can already do pre render ray-tracing and volumetric fog.And Factor 5 said that there would still be a huge diffrence in graphics between generations. But its all in the games.

About the giant pikachu thing. Nintendo made Pokemon for money from the kids. It was just a huge success that people now tend to think thats just what they are like. Nintendo is trying to fix the problem that Mario looked too kiddeish kinda thing. It just seems that Nintendo is really good at making the games for younger kids, and once its a huge success people think only that of them.

Post by: JediMaster on July 06, 2001, 09:37:39 AM: And BTW, we can\'t really judge the graphics until we see the games running, instead of movies at IGN that are taken off a video camera setup infront of the screen. From people who were at E3, there impressions are that the GC has the best graphics as of now but thats just the Pre-1st generation games of GameCube and Xbox so, we will have to wait and see.

Post by: Claypool 2001 on July 06, 2001, 12:29:40 PM: this is all opinionated (sp?). Graphically, yes, the Xbox will be the best. Gameplay is another thing. Neither the XBOX or GC are out and probably 5-10 people on this board went to E3 and played some of these games, but other than that, i think the PS2 has better games at the moment. I had a dreamcast, but the only game I got for it was Sonic Adventure one (cheap ass game). I borrowed RE:CV and Shenmue. My friend also had a dreamcast, and he bought a lot of games and after playing/watching, none of them really apealed (sp?) to me, so I bought a PS2 and havent stopped playing TMB yet, so cherio!!!
