Title: Need dvd PW help

The dvd player is locked on a parental setting and I dont know the password. How can I reset the password so that I can watch movies??

To disable the password, press the Select button, and enter 7444 whenever the parental control display asks you for your password.  The old password is deleted.

Then choose your own password for discs that are protected, in order to view without limitations.

This code is definately applicable for the UK - don\'t know about the rest of the world, though.

This was a huge mistake by sony. Why have this stupid parental lock when it is really only a pain in the ass to the parents.  If you are a kid with a half a brain you know that code by now.

reset code to 0000, then just keep hitting "X" button when the stupid thing pops up :)

There is Parental control on the PS2?
