You took some stupid pills today, didn\'t you? I think this gun is the only bland looking peripheral so far...
-
The X-Box case looks very bland to me. I think they\'d be crazy not to make some last minute improvements to the design of that case.
-
Its a light gun folks, ya don\'t look at it, ya use it! :)
If you want guns that look good, then you might want a third party solution.
-
The PS2 looks like a black network hub to me. big deal...
-
Ya\' know, there isn\'t alot they can do with the light-guns, do to the way the American goverment and people freak out if it looks too "real". So, I see no point in *****ing about it. And does how it looks really affect gameplay? No.
-
Pretty ugly if you ask me..
I like Namco\'s gun\'s much better
-
The accesory looks fine . . .
Like L-I-C said, with the current situation in the US regarding gun issues, these types of peripherals can not be produced with realism in mind.
Hey, at least it isn\'t orange, and thats a step up in my opinion.

I don\'t know how lightguns look in the US, but here you can get some pretty realistic looking ones.

Not in America. Due to right-wing religious / conservative freaks, we cannot have realistic guns. If we do, no store will stock them and people protest. So, the green gun isn\'t that bad for us Americans. Just typical.
-
I thought the DC gun would be the silliest looking gun peripheral I\'d ever see (well, the SNES bazooka was the silliest but I\'m talking about handguns here). I was wrong. That looks just so stupid, ick. Viva la G-Con!
-
THe gun looks like a collection of boogers brought together by the good people at M$. :D
-
Take it easy, the gun doesn’t look that bad, you guys are blowing this way out of proportion

What else is new?

Can I see a pic of the PS2 light gun?

Can I see a pic of the PS2 light gun?
I\'m not sure if that gun was made by sony or 3rd party, but it was the most wicked looking light-gun I had ever seen.
-
The color of the gun does not affect the gameplay, so whats the big deal?
If you are so upset about it, my only advice is either not buy it or spray paint it black or color of your choice.
-
The gun is OK,not great but not horrible either.I don\'t like the color though.
-
well the only thing i don\'t like is the lime green color and the fact that it is kinda uzi-like - i like it where its more handgun like with one deal to hold on
excuse my knowledge of guns as it is almost nil.

You sound pretty opposed to it.... you want to visit the funeral of some kid who was playing around with a realistic toy gun and got shot by cops accidentally?

rofl, yeah, that\'s what happens. All the children in Europe have been shot by cops for using lightguns. Cops don\'t have any common sense, they just whack down those dirty boys with plastic guns.

This statement shows you don\'t understand the whole issue. Why does a light gun have to look exactly like a real gun? If a police officer comes by and he sees some kid with a light gun that looks very realistic they don\'t have time to go and examine the gun and make sure it is real they are supposed to protect the welfare of themselves and the other officers. If this didn\'t happen on many occasions before then light guns would be "realistic" looking like they are in Europe and Japan.
BTW, The US has much different gun control laws and a higher crime rate which leads to a different kind of policing.
Do european cops even carry guns?

I think it\'s very sad when you can\'t have realistic looking toy guns in a society. I apologize if my post offended anybody, but it\'s just because it\'s so damn unthinkable here. When I was a kid we used to play with guns all the time (you know, \'war\', \'police against criminals\' and that sort of thing). You can buy toy guns here that comes with some special \'powder\' (in lack of a better word) so the gun can make a loud noise when \'fired\'. No-one here would ever even consider the possibility of a child running around with a real gun. It saddens me it has to be that way in the US. Something is certainly not right then.

This comin\' from someone who thinks it is "herding out the crowd" when a 10 year old kills themself?
I personally believe it is up to the parents to make sure their kids don\'t get ahold of guns that look realistic. And on a note that contradicts all this, if they don\'t want us having realisitc light guns, why can I go to some Wal-Marts and buy toy shotguns that look rather realisitic?
-
Why would someone run out with a fricking lightgun anyways??
With a long cord??
Nah.. Kids like soft-air-guns... Those look really realistic..
Some teenagers has robbed people here in sweden with soft-air-guns :)
Pretty lame..
I want a realistic looking weapon.. Not a goofy sci-fi gun..

And this is one reason we American\'s cannot enjoy realisitic light guns. Because, of dumbass kids who think it is funny or "smart" to go out and try and rob people with fake guns.

I totally agree with you. When I was younger we had guns that looked just like the guns on TV. We still have those "cap" guns that you mentioned but they are in bright orange or green guns. Something is definately not right and it goes back to the break down of the family unit in the US and eventually world-wide.
