I\'ve been wanting to learn how to do this, but I\'m retarded. Does anyone happen to know how to do this? Thanks...

Put the video out of your PS2 into the video in of your VCR. Press record. (Your VCR may not have a video in, so you might have to buy the cable adapter for your PS2 and use that to connect to your VCR.)

Thats been bugging me lately, when are we gonna get recordable DVD\'s?
-
We have them. Just go buy one. Couple grand for the recorder and 20-30 bucks per blank disc.

Oh, aslo some video cards for computers have video input. That would be cool to have a site of people\'s best moves.

They are out. ComPAQ sells them with DVD-R now. You can also get Power G4 Macs with DVD-R.
There is a bunch of varations of the dvd recording process right now. DVD-R,DVD-RW, DVD+RW or something. I can\'t quite remember right now, as I have alot of nyquil in my system..(Damn flu).
They\'re somewhat expensive, either way.
On another note, you could always get a tv/video card from your PC and hook it up via that.

I record the PS2 video directly into my PC using capture cards. I have a Pinnacle PCTV card for analog capture, straight from the PS2\'s S-VHS able. Or I run the S-VHS cable into my digital camcord and then use firewire to record digitally through my firewire card.
I have a movie here that was compressed from 750mb down to 11mb using different compression (DIVX) formats. It was a class project. The video is made up from various opening scenes of different video games that I captured into my PC and then edited with a video editing program. You will need a LOT of hard drive space as these clips swallowed my 20gb hard drive like it was only a 5gb drive. Uncompressed video creates HUGE files!
