Thats when the Final Fantasy movie comes out as well as GT3.  It might have a crappy opening weekend just because of that.  Mostly gamers will go see it, but alot of them will be busy playing GT3.  Who would go see it instead of playing GT3?

Neither would effect me in the UK, but i would definately be playing on GT3, which comes out on the 27th over here a day before my birthday. Hmmmmmmmmm....... get drunk or play GT3, thats gonna be a toughie. Guess i\'ll just get drunk and then play it!!

I will do both. It doesn\'t take an entire weekend to go in and out of a store you know... It takes 10 or 20 minutes.

god how ironic is that, well of course im gonna be playing GT3 first, ill wait a few days for the lines to die down to go watch FF: spirits within.

oh and let me just say that i have beenplaying Tokyo Extreme Racer 0 and it ROCKS!!!

We should name July 11 "Official Gamers Day!"  Party!!!  We can all gather with all our tv\'s and PS2\'s hook \'em all up, and tourney all day!

I dont do much except play on my ps2, so every day is effectivley gamers day for me, but all gathering sounds like a lot of fun! Can anyone in the US put me up?

damn it gonna be party day !   after i watch the movie and play a bit with GT3 i will go celebrate at the Nuddy bar!  :D

I will probably end up goin\' to see FF:SPW and totally forgetting about Gran Turismo (What can I say? I\'m not a fan. Though the game is very impressive.) .  But, of course, as the skeptic I am, I imagine the Final Fantasy movie will be all eyecandy and no story, so I will probably whine and ***** the rest of the night and finally cuddle up with my GameBoy Advance...

On a bright note; I do hope the Final Fantasy movie kicks ass. It has awesome graphics and has alot goin\' for it. It is just, I have yet to see a videogame to movie flick that I enjoy.

I\'m not planning on seeing FF: TSW on opening day.  I suspect there will be too many "casual fans" who are going to be there just because the movie\'s got the Final Fantasy name tacked on to it.  I\'ll probably wait a week or two.
As for GT3:  I\'m still not sure if I\'m going to buy it as soon as it\'s released.  I probably will, but only if I have the money to spend.

Heh. I requested that day off from work so nothing can disturb me from playing GT3. :)

As far as FF goes, I also have the feeling it\'s going to be disappointing. I\'ll see it for the eye-candy I guess.
