You\'ll notice a difference between standard composite RCA and S-Video.

As long as you don\'t have cables unning across power wires etc, you won\'t notice any difference between different types of S-Video cables.  The more expensive ones have a little better shielding, but it will make no difference to you if you looked at both of them on your tube.

I would definitely get some brand of svideo cables though.

I got my svideo cables for 10 bucks.  Other people get the monster cables, but as long as you have a normal setup, you don\'t need the extra shielding.
