are you joking? this came out like 7 years ago. It bombed without hesitation. You know, the Virtual Boy type of bomb.

Good luck finding one, I am interested in picking one up for my collection.

Well, I dunno if it "Bombed". It was a little slow comming outta the gate, but I think it\'s starting to pick up some real momentum now. I heard they\'ve even signed 5 developers!

It\'s cool that they put a trackball on the controller (positioning is a bit screwed, but at least it\'s there). I\'d like to have seen all the consoles in this generation have those, expecially with all the FPS\'s that have been comming out. Maybe Sony, Nintnedo, and MS will wisen up next gen and add them on?

I just bought a Virtual Boy with 10 games..

Personally, I think there was a few reasons no one ever bought it...

1: It can induce headaches. I personally cannot play it over 20 mintues without getting a massive headache. Nor can my friends.

2: It is far from portable. The system was marketed as a portable system, but lets face it.. It is not portable.

3: It was hard for Nintendo to show the true advantage of the system on paper. The \'3D effect\'. You just cannot show what the system does on paper. Due to that, when people saw pictures of a game, they only saw a black and red screenshot. Sad, but true.

4: Lack of killer titles. Sure, there was some good games for it. But there was no games that took full advantage of the system and was a stable Nintendo franchise. Can you imagine a Virtual Boy version of Metriod? Or F-ZERO? They could be amazing.

5: On a note so serious note. The controller is just scarey...;)

Red alarm sucked ass. My virtual boy is in the basement in a plastic box right now, and I have no intentions of digging it out. LONG LIVE NINTENDO POWER GLOVE!!!!!!

What does this have to do with anything? And what is it? I\'ve never seen that thing before.

There weren\'t 20 games made for it, at least not in America.

Mario Tennis sucked. I have it. Red Alarm, sucked. I have it.
Along with Wario Land, it is alright and Telero Boxero, which is alright.

Virtual Boy was just a bad dea, stemming right after they decided to not put in a green and blue LED along with the red one.

I didn\'t say everyone would get sick. Not everyone will. But, I\'ve noticed quite a few people do. This by no means accounts for every Virtual Boy owner. This is just a general obseravation.

The Virtual Boy was a bad idea from a marketing positon.

There was no possible effective way to market what the system was suppose to deliver- the \'3D effect\'.

This was also a portable system. A very hefty and uncomfortable portable system. I am not sure why Nintendo wanted to sell this off as portable. They would of done much better selling it just as a console. But then again, it isn\'t even a console. Yikes.

Playing tennis in "3D" may be kick ass, but that doesn\'t sell the units when every other piece of the puzzle is missing. Which makes the Virtual Boy , Nintendo\'s first big failure.

For some reason, I always start tasting bile everytime someone mentions how cool the Virtua Boy was. I suppose, in it\'s own quaint little way, it could be amusing. But it was hardly close to a VR system like it\'s name implys. It was more like going to see an old 50\'s 3D movie with the red and blue glasses. Lord only knows where we\'d be if this little black beauty was released and actually became popular.

Now THAT\'S what I\'m talking about. Motion sensors that turn the view in the direction you\'re head is turning, simulated stereo through headphones so you can hear what direction the enemy is comming from, and two easy on the eyes full color LCD screens to display the action. I remember being so hyped up about this when I was a little kid, but it ended up getting sacked for "saftey reasons". (Sega was afraid little kids who played it would become too imersed and run into walls and things)

We need something like this for the 128 bit generation. Imagine a VR helmet and an "Activator" motion sensing peripheral you could use while playing VF4 or DOA3 on the PS2 or Xbox. Instead of just passively pushing buttons, you could actually BE in the fight. Couple this with one of those vest peripherals that shock you when you\'re hit, and you\'d have one hell of a sweet gaming setup!!

Atari also had a device almost exactly like that in development for the Jaguar but it was scrapped for safety reasons also..:(
