Title: This is exactly what Microsoft Needed to do.

I think it was a good move for Microsoft to grab up developers and have them bring some of their best playstation franchises to xbox. But what I think they really needed to do was have their own distinctive titles.

Like Project Ego, Project K-x, Azurake, New legends, Enclave just to name a couple of titles.

Well what sparked this was the announcement of a game called Xavier Fox: The Lost City Interview

In that news article the developers talk about the game and what new ideas they want to bring to gaming and it sounds awesome. I think it is great to see more developers steping in and trying to come up with creative ideas and make awesome games. And I think one of the best things Microsoft could do for xbox is  to have their own games and not try and focus on other platform titles so much.

basically, it comes down to getting as many quality games as possible....without them, a console wont succeed, obviously

yeah like wcw , they might have the talent and the money but thier writers suck!

Well what I was trying to say.  So many are focusing on square bringing this or konami bringing that or namco porting this when the focus should be trying to create brand new awesome innovative games. That is what I was saying. And that is what this game seems to be.

true, Microsoft do have their fair share of original and exclusive titles, which is what all companies have, and all companies need it to be successful...mebbe all three machines will succeed

Competition is always great for the consumer, this might just bring better games/ prices/consoles in the future. :D

The problem is that originality doesn\'t sell. See Dreamcast.

couldn\'t have said it better myself that is one thing i ca not disagree with

and seeing as to how Xbox is a new console i believe it will bring manu new innovation to the gaming world - just as the PSOne did
