Title: Laser Eye Surgery

Anybody here have Laser Eye Surgery?  I\'m thinking about getting PRK Laser Surgery (I think it\'s PRK).  Anyway, any words of wisdom?

A couple of my relatives have had the surgery and all of them are pleased with the results.  I say go for it if you have the money.

check out the surgeon.  There are a few side effects.

My uncle had laser eye surgery a few years ago, and he hasn\'t worn glasses/contacts since.

All the surgen told me is that you can have halos but with this new laser they can prevent that.  Anything else?

Make sure the guy doing the procedure is reputable,
not some wanna-be mofo trying to get rich :D

Well, duh.

Anyone have any more info on the side effects (preferably from personal experiance, or of friends/relatives)?

3 of my reletives had it done and the only complaints they had was about the iritation for 24 hours after the procedure. lol and the tacky jumbo sunglasses they had to wear for 24 hours after it .

Thanks for the input, I sign up for an appoitment this weekend (that\'s when my parents, whom are funding my surgery) will give me the final decision.  It\'ll probably be on August 1-3.  I\'ll post here again after I have it done.
