A Microsoft spokesperson said "This is why we did a test run of marketting and selling the system. People see the reception we got as a negative thing; I prefer to look at it as a glimpse into our future, with a chance to change what went wrong and do it all over again for our official Japanese launch," when approached about the surprise pre-launch Microsoft threw at an unsuspecting Japanese market this past weekend.
The spokesperson went on to inform us Microsoft was already in the process of a complete breakdown of everything from the launch titles to marketting that made the move take a bad turn.
Analysts speculate on several key factors for the terrible showing the XBox had in retail over the weekend. "One or more ingredients in the marketting or mere 2 games that pre-launched with the system may have had racial or ethnic overtones that offended our people," an analyst informed us.
Marketting slogans included "Bill Gates love you long time!" and "You can not have big American penis, but now you can have big American game system!"
Neither went over well with the public in Japan.
The games were not a selling point, either. "Nukey-Nukey Hiroshima!" and "Atari Jaguar Classics" were the sole two titles available, and neither sold a copy throughout the Japanese test cities.
Microsoft is to spend $500,000,000 to continue the work to win over the public, so time will tell just how well their Japanese venture will go.

did they really do a test launch? And, The Japanese say the reason that the bombed Pearl harbor was because of HiroHito\'s expansionism, and it happened to antagonise an enemy much more powerful than them (that would be us) Lets not forgot Yamamoto\'s line: "I fear we have only awakened a sleeping giant"

Nukey Nukey Hiroshima !! That\'s freaking hilarious, because the title really sounds like something a foreign company would attempt to make their game apealling to the Japanesse.
