Ok, the PS2 has these little boxes when you start up the system, it is sopposed to tell how many times you have played your PS2, can someone tell me why my boxes are dissapearing?
-
When did we find out they tell you how many times you have played your playstation 2?
-
It said it in a MAG before the PS2 came out, the more u shut off and turn it on, the more boxes that will appear.
-
All I want to know is what will i have to get to go online through the PS2 with the cable modem (I am using my own interenet service provider)
PLEASE HELP!
-
Sorry guys, wrong post
-
I\'ve played mine about a million times and I don\'t have all that many boxes on my screen. I don\'t know where you heard that load of c***, I don\'t think that magazine knows what they\'re talking about. Sony said that the startup screen is a randon startup screen in real-time, and it will never be the same twice. That\'s what I know about it, not any amounts of times I turned it on and off...

I found out why there is little boxes, somone post and said the more you save the more boxes there will be. I tested this and pulled out my mem card. When I turn on my PS2 with out the mem card, there was only the clear boxes. Put back my mem card and turn on the PS2, you\'ll see all the white boxes again. :D
-
ok :)
-
The boxes are stored on the system file that is on a memory card
If you buy a new memory card you will have to save a new system file (Unless you transfer the file) and the boxes will be gone
A new box appears everytime you play a new game and make a game save with that new game
1 new box for each new game played as I understand
-
cool , i didnt know that. so they appear for every new game u play or every new game u make a save with. do they disapear if u delete a saved game? im gonna go check mine right now.

I believe its with the 1st save of a new game and its only 1 cube per game not per save. If you delete the box still stays there cause its in the system file its not counting saves on a memory card, it just registers a box for the 1st save of a new game
for the record I\'m not guarenteeing I\'m right, I\'m just going by what I heard, but it seems to be true

I don\'t think that\'s completely right. Sometimes when I boot it up, I have like 20 cubes, but other times, I only have two or three.
-
Wow!
Keep your opinions about texture ram and controller ports in the proper threads.

I have towers and boxes. My friend has so many towers that his screen looks a little gay. It shocked me at first...I didn\'t know how different my friend\'s could be then mine.

I have about 30-35 cubes on my startup screen :)
-
I thought it was some sort of debugging tool.

yeah you get a new box for every new game you play, i got abou 30. apparently after a while they will change, so you wont see boxes. the wont change infront of your eyes, something like a new game may have a thing on so when you boot up the ps2 it saves the new opening screen thing
