Hey all, Tecmo is doing a poll on wich system you want to see Ninja gaiden, I noticed that the cubbies where winning, so let see what we can do about that, huh.....
http://www.tecmoinc.com/home.htm
you have to scroll a bit down for the poll.
-
I don\'t know. . . it does seem as more of a "nintendo" title. But I still voted PS2!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I\'m # 23).
-
the cube is working everyone else
-
Ok, i voted :D
-
I voted, although I don\'t think it really matters.
-
Me voted to!
-
I thought it was already confirmed that it would be a PS2 title? Hmm.
Personally, I would like to see it on the GC as a 2D game. For a two reasons.
1) Every version of the series that has ended up not on a Nintendo platform has been lame for some odd reason. :(
2) This series has and should always be 2D.
-
I remember playing this game back on the old 8-bit Nintendo days. *sniff* those were the days...
Why would they wanna bring it to the PS2 anyways? It\'s a Nintendo title. Of course, I used to be a hardcore Nintendo fan until the Nintendo 64...which sucked. So I think I would like to see it on the PS2.

Actually, at E3 they said the platform was still undecided.

Why not GBA instead of GameCube?
Anyways, I have to agree with what LIC said. Every time it wasn\'t on a Nintendo platform it sucked major llama anus for some unknown reason. But I would rather see it on GameBoy Advance than GameCube.

Thanks. I thought they had confirmed it for the PS2.
I actually had not thought of the GBA, but that is an excellent idea. Or at least the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy ported over to the GBA.

Ok, I voted.
FOR THE X-BOX! BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! How do you like that kiddies? BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Whatever floats your boat...

I\'ll play it on any system, doesn\'t matter to me. :)

Hmmmmm.............I don\'t know if ninja gaiden should go to gamecube? Why? It\'s not quite kiddy enough for nintendo.

Now, I know this is bait for me to reply, but ah well.
Explain me this if you think it shouldn\'t go to GameCube- why has to appeared and done successfully on Nintendo\'s consoles before?
Please reply in a civilized and mature manner.

Well even programmer see it that way like hideo. Could you really see twisted metal black on a nintendo system? Sure it may sell a couple of copies but most nintendo fans are use to gay pokemon games and other kiddy crap. Okay its like Barney(the gay purple dinosaur) show having eminem on there rapping its not the right audeince for that(cause mostly kids watch it). Mostly kids watch barney just like mostly kids buy nintendo. I don\'t think ninja gaiden wouldn\' show up on gamecube.

i voted but....i think gamecube is gonna win.

I thought Nintendo fans were the immature ones?...
Answer the question that I asked in my first post please.

That was a lame response, raslant. Were you joking? Nintendo doesn\'t have to cater to the younger audiences with each and every game that they allow to appear on the Gamecube. They\'ve had Ninja Gaiden appear on their systems before, why can\'t they do it now?
-
Ninja Gaiden 1-3 was on the original NES , so why could they not have this installment of the series on the GameCube? There is no reason. So what is with the comments about it not being "kiddy" enough?
:shrugs:

Every since nintendo came out with n64 they been going downhill IMO. I mean the supernes was one of the best system ever. While n64 was barely a good system.

You strike me as someone who started gaming last generation.
N-E-Wayz, I will play Ninja Gaiden on any console that it appears.
-
I started playing games since....................atari 2600!!!!!!!!!!! I had almost every system since then except the jaguar, 32x, gameboy, and other than that I had every system that ever came out. I\'m just disappointed with n64 thats all. Ninja gaiden wouldn\'t go well on a "kiddy" system like gamecube.

I still don\'t understand that. Please explain. Nintendo has games like Eternal Darkness and Perfect Dark(Which has much more violence than Ninja Gaiden) so why wouldn\'t it go well? Goldeneye and Perfect Dark are both all time best sellers(for ANY console) so there IS an audience out there.
-
Since when was Ninja Gaiden targetted mainly at the adult age group? It doesn\'t have gore in it, it doesn\'t have swearing...Bah, it\'s no more kiddie than the Zelda series is, and no Zelda game on a Nintendo system hasen\'t sold under a million yet.
-
Just voted for PS 2. Also it seems like it will be an GC-game...

Well maybe its me I wouldn\'t waste money on a gamecube for just one game(ninja gaiden). Cause with n64 I brought mario but did not get another game for the next 6 months cause there was nothing out I wanted(the system to darn slow coming out with games). Plus temco didn\'t make one n64 game last genration so why should they support gamecube over ps2 and xbox(which imo both system has more interesting games coming out)?
-
So you blast the N64 for being a "kiddy" console; but you only bought ONE game? That alone should cancel out your whole argument. How can you pass judgement on something you haven\'t experienced.

No its a long story I bought one at launch and in 1998 sold it cause I had about 8 games at that point. Nothing interested me at the point I mostly played ps1 at the time.(n64 was too slow with coming out with games) As well traded it in to get a dc as well, I just thought that system really sucked for all the hype around it back then. During the n64 era nintendo started that crap called............pokemon. Another reason why I\'m not so crazy about nintendo today.
-
So you sold your N64 in 1998 and then traded it in for a DC later? How is THAT possible?

I\'m sorry it was summer 1999 when I traded the n64 in. Then I got store credit and my brother and I got a dc at launch with sonic adventure, hydro thunder, soul cailbur, a memory card, and a extra controller for $15!!!!!!!!!

Hey Gohan, I don\'t know if you just chose the same name or what, but I\'ve seen someone by your name in another forum. Where else do you go?
As for Nintendo being kiddy, you just couldn\'t be more wrong. While they do release more "kiddy" games than other consoles do, they also release many mature games to counter them. If you think you\'re too "mature" to play games like Mario, Banjo-Kazooie, or Rayman, then you must just be trying to look cool. Now way should anyone pass up on these classics.
Just for argument\'s sake, here are the non-"kiddy" titles being released for the GCN:
Madden NFL 2002 Sports
NHL Hitz 2002 Sports
Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II
Wave Race: Blue Storm
Extreme-G 3
Batman: Dark Tomorrow*
Kameo: Elements of Power
NBA Courtside 2002
Raven Blade*
Metroid Prime*
SSX Tricky
Eternal Darkness*
Duke Nukem Forever*
Legend of Zelda for Gamecube
Too Human*
Resident Evil 0 *
Thornado*
Picassio *
Saffire *
(* denotes "mature" games)
Also, I wouldn\'t be suprised to find myself buying kiddy games like Luigi\'s Mansion, Mario, or Pikimin. You can\'t turn down a game for it\'s looks, it must be based on gameplay.

Nah, i thought mario 64 was an awesome game. The problem is that nintendo only had a few n64 games that I really liked. As for the "mature" the only ones that interest me is zelda, resident evil 0(but re4 coming to ps2),Ea sports(ps2 has them NOW) Rs2, and metriod prime. As for everything else I can get on ps2 or live without. I just think ps2 has so many more games I want for it than gamecube. I\'m more convience now buying an xbox than gamecube at this point. Oh yeah guys did you hear about the shenmue thing with xbox? Shenmue most likely will show up one the xbox which is going to make my purchase ever sweeter. So the bottom line Nintendo does have some good games but they seems to slow with realsing them with n64. I hope this doesn\'t happen with gamecube again...........
-
Raslant you are missing the obvious point. How can Ninja Gaiden be to mature when it appeared on both the NES and SNES? Sure, it did not appear on the N64, but it didn\'t appear anywhere. Nintendo had Perfect Dark, GoldenEye and other games though, that was 10x more violent then Ninja Gaiden ever was.
So how can Ninja Gaiden possibly be to mature for Nintendo, when it has already appeared on their systems, not to mention Nintendo\'s systems have hosted first person shooters which are way more violent??
I\'ll agree that the N64 wasn\'t one of the best consoles (in my opinion) but I see no earthly or logical reason on why Ninja Gaiden is to mature for Nintendo\'s GameCube.
-
I would love to see Ninja Gaiden on the PS2.

OK, Let me get this straight. I\'m going to assume you bought a N64 somewhere near launch; because you only had Mario 64, correct? Now explain to me this. You complained about the slow trickle of games from the N64 yet you went almost 4 years without buying ANY of the AAA games that were released for the console? Either you are lying about the whole situation or you are just being a hypocrite.

Oh I had about 7 AAA title but one ps2 I had like 35 AAA title at the time. I mostly played my ps1 over the n64. They just took to long to realese games for me I just traded it in for a dc. On dc I have about 25 games and the system just been out almost two years you see my point?
