Title: Excessive PS2 Noice...?

Does anyone else have this problem, where the PS2 makes a lot of noise while playing PSX games with the faster drive speed selected?  Is that normal or is this going to be a problem?  Its normal as long as I don\'t try to make it load faster.  I got my Ps2 back in March, I prolly can\'t get betta model cus its been so long?

It happens on alot of CD based PS2 games as well

A loud whir sound and vibration

DVD games are smooth but SSX and NBA Street both are noisier

Yeah, I noticed that too. It happens really bad on my NBA Live.. It\'s like some little troll is inside using a jackhammer. :)

yea when i play star wars or when loading unreal its noiser, but if you put it on the side its quiter for some reason :D

I made a "thing" out of paper and put it under the CD-Reader. Now there\'s no big noise. :)

my ps2 makes alot of noise only when i play Tekken Tag...i dont know why...

That "troll" inside REALLY gets to crankin\' up th\' noise when I put NBA Street in for play...

No noise here, not even while playing SSX...I\'m really sorry that so many people have had all of these problems...:(...:crying: That kind of (a lot) sucks...

Yeah its just a noisey machines. I don\'t think theres anything to worry about. If theres any DC owners here they will know that in comparasion the PS2 is very quiet. ;)

I haven´t got any problem with the noise... perhaps it´s cause I haven´t actived that option.

I thought my PS2 was loud, that is, until I bought a DreamCast, hah :p

TTT makes some noise with my PS2 too. Reason unknown. Other games run smoothly and I can only hear the quiet fan.
