hi guys got the chice of twisted metal black or nba street and i wanted 2 know the appeal of tb.black abd whats soo good about it ? is it like twisted metal 1 + 2 ? not critisising the games just wandering if its worth getting over nba street ?
as always look forward 2 ur replys !

I havent actually played either but everyone seems to love them both.
But I would say there is more excitment over TMB.
People here are usually reliable too.
You could also go to http://www.ign.com to check out the reviews and get an idea of each game

well I guess it all depends on the person itself. If the person is more of a racing/action fan, he\'ll like TWB alot, but if a person is more of a sports/action fan, he\'ll like NBA Street. I actually enjoy nba street more then TWB, but then again thats just me. Its all opinions anyways.

TM:B is alot like 1 and 2, and is a real challenge. I haven\'t even dared to play it on hard yet, cause I have enough trouble on the medium setting. It runs silky smooth at 60fps and the times I have seen it chug through I can count on my fingers, even on 2player (I don\'t have a multitap, so I can\'t comment on 4player).
I\'m not a big basketball fan, and I have seen nothing about NBA so I can\'t give an opinion about it... Sorry! :D

What can I say to help you...I have both...I like both A LOT! Each has their own merits. Is TM:B like TM 1 & 2? Yup...and *then* some! Is NBA Street like every other roundball game you\'ve ever played? Hell no! It is over-the-top smashmouth Jam-style (but BETTA!!!) b-ball at its very best.
SO,....which you want ultimately comes back to *your* likes. I too rely on our forum folks\' reviews of games...and in these two gaming cases, their reviews forced (owww! they TWISTED my arm :D ) me to purchase both games. And I\'m eversoglad that I did! Best of luck if you are financially forced to deal with deciding one over the other...
PS. I *would* add one thought: IMHO, Street is easier to truely enjoy without another player playing at the same time. TM:B is more fun (again, IMO) with others...always has been...always will be. But Street has sweet enough A.I. so that you can easily feel like you are playing another person...

well guys as always i am very pleased with the help u have given me and i have come across some money and can buy both !!!!!!!!!!!!! but again i have got a good perception of the games thanks 2 u guys so again thanks till next time !!!

TWISTED
METAL:
BLACK
Twisted Metal Black takes all of what was good from TM:2 and improves upon it. Also they add more vehicles and some of the old ones from TM:1. Huge and awesome levels plus 4 players and team assignments. Graphic enhancements and a very fast framerate. Incognito are the gods of gaming.
If you like TM:2 then you will love TM:B, there is no question you should get it. It\'s a game that doesn\'t get old, ever.

cheers empiror rob ahem donkey rapers lol he heh heh
lol

If you like sports games you will really enjoy NBA Street, though it does get old rather quickly. I have been plowing through my opponents and I have never lost. The announcer guy keeps telling me to bump up the difficulty, but if the default difficulty is that pitiful they should have corrected it on its own. I always beat the game on its default difficulty first.

I have T.M. Black and it\'s the best game play I ever played. The A.I kicks @ss!! For this type of game, Presentation ,Graphics, sounds, A.I, mood I give it a 10! :D

Does this mean TMB is worth getting if your only going to play single player? Cause I mostly play single player on games.

Vulcan, yours is a good question. And again, my answer is only mine and comes from a solitary (literally & figuratively) gamer. I seldom get to enjoy gaming *with* others. I\'m 35, married, w/ no kids (i.e. *HAPPILY* married), and live about 20 miles outside of the city of Richmond, VA...few opportunities to game shoulder to shoulder with someone.
However, I like gaming...so all I request is good A.I. and I\'m fine. TM:B offers that...but in my reply comparing the two, I personally believe that Street offers it better. But BOTH are exceptional games and I can\'t imagine either of them being considered poor for single player enjoyment. Therefore, as I offered before...I think both are really fine games & should not be missed!!! :D

That\'s debatable. It\'s a great game, but even great games get repetitive. It\'s like asteroids on crack. Sure it\'s fun, but I wouldn\'t pick it as a game to be stuck on a desert island with. ;)

If you even have an ounce of interest for basketball then you won\'t be dissapointed with street at all. IMO, I prefer steet than TM:B. The game is just so freakin\' addictive. If you\'re really unsure then rent it first. I\'ll tell you this though, you might have a hard time returning the game :D

I have bought TMB and I love it. Although it is very similar to 1+2 it has more depth. In black as you progress it tells you a good story ang also explains why these freaks hate each other. It is a very solid game and I would choose it aver street which I have played also.

i have both games and i found myself playing NBA Street more. They are both AAA games, but i just found myself rushing through Twisted Metal:Black to get to see the endings and stuff. If your really into sports games then definetly check out NBA Street instead of Twisted Metal:Black
