Right I\'ve only played for about 10 minutes so no mini review, just the information that most of us Pal owners want.
Firstly, there is no 60hz option which is rather bad the reason bieng....
Secondly, The boarders are of the Pal Ridge Racer variety :0(
I suppose that this doesn\'t really matter because of the nature of the game, but it would
have been nice to have played it in full screen. Come on capcom, pull your fingers out.
The Gameplay is smooth and overall very good to look at. I\'ll play some more later but i thought that
you guys would be interested. These are minor faults to what should be a great game.

Good news that you got it,but how long was this game delayed over here?and they still have ****ty big black borders, what is wrong with these companys!!!!!!!!!
Also where did you get the game from in the end?
I am on the last boss and i have loved the game all the way through,i am going to play the game agian, just to make sure i have done everything in the game that i can, also just so it tides me over until GT3 comes out.
-
What about screen centering options ? As well as the boarders do we have to suffer the thing being offscreen to the left as well ?
Capcom, you suck ****. This probably means the likes of Devil May Cry and Resident Evil: CV won\'t have these features either.
-
This is unfortunate news, regarding those demonic black borders. I tire of this lacadasical approach from developers when porting over PAL games.
When I play a game, I want to play the SAME version as my US and JAP counterparts, not a bastardised version that we PAL users have so frequently have to put up with.
Still, the game looks lovely and as stated previously, WILL tide me over until GT3.
-
On the US version there is a centering option,so i carnt see why they would take that option out,but also after a while you wont notice the borders, because you will be looking out for monsters hehehe, but i loved the game and i really think that you will all like it too.

There is a screen centering option Rich so no problems there. I believe that the borders would make
a big problem for more action orientated games like Devil May Cry so i hope that they sort out a
60hz option for that. Lets see if they do a 60hz option in Res first, that should be an indication on
what to expect in future releases from Capcom. I reckon that we Pal players should start a pertition and send it to them.

Ethan, i picked it up from a local(ish) importer who had it delivered today. He rang me up to go pick it up.
I\'m unwilling to give out the location and name, it\'s just to protect the innocent from the hand of sony :D
You know what i mean.
-
Are the screen centering options saved, ala tekken, or do you have to adjust the screen everytime you load the game, ala sky odyssey.
-
When you save the game, the screen (Screen centering) is also saved, so you only have to adjust it only a time.

Hmmmmm.....
All this verbose surrounding a lack of 60HZ worries me about the forthcoming PAL release of GT3.
I certainly do not want to play a slow, and bordered version of this racing monster.
My member goes limp at the thought.

It may not be that bad, did you get a chance to play the demo? the boarders were minimal
but yes, i also yern for that 60hz option. If it is in there i\'ll be as happy as a pig in sh@t.
-
StAnZo can you PM me with the info about that importers you used, as i would like to use them for some of my games.
If you can give me the name, address things like that, also do they do mail order? Thanks

No Stanzo, I never got to play the demo, but ultimately, the borders won\'t be too off-putting. God, I even got used to the ludicrous borders that were prevalent on the PAL Wave Race 64!!!!!
But it\'s the lack of 60HZ options that make me vent my anger. It\'s especially noticable on beat-em-up\'s and racing games. This is why I\'m praying that GT3 is not 50HZ, but I reckon it will be for one reason: it\'s coming out here far too soon after the US one, implying that they have not tweaked the PAL one.
If this is so, they will feel the wrath of my sadistic tendancies....

After saying that, look how long it took Onimusha Warlords to come out and they didn\'t include any 50/60 Hz option. If you ask me developers just sit on there arse and let us wait for some kind of sick joke.

That\'s true....
We European (and Australian/New Zealanders) gamers are the pus-filled spot that resides on the stinking anus\' that belong to the gaming community.
I have a very bad feeling that GT3 won\'t be optimised.
And now I read that the US is to get MGS2 before Japan, because it did better over there. Well, didn\'t it do better in Europe, too?
Oh wait a minute, I forgot I\'m gaming scum and shouldn\'t be treated any differently.....
