I was wonder where I can get some cheap and good VCD player on the net (don\'t say ebay please). I really don\'t need a DVD player that plays VCD just want a VCD player that plays VCD (that way it will be cheaper I guess) (since I got a ps2 I might as well use it as a DVD player. Too bad it won\'t play VCD.) so got any ideas?

I think there are some of them in the download webs like Tucows and others, furthermore, they are free... !

I think Adan meant a software player whereas you were talking about hardware. :)

ahhhh! hardware???? Sorry, I thought you was talking about software players, like Power DVD...
In saying that, I believe I can be hard find one... a lot of DVD players can play VCD, mine can... and it´s a cheaper one.

If you\'re looking for a piece of hardware - a component that plays Video CDs - it will be MUCH easier if you just find a cheap DVD player that supports VCDs. Your theory that a VCD-only player will be cheaper is probably not correct. There are so many more DVD players around that your chances of finding a cheap one are better. There\'s no market for VCD-only players anymore, so you won\'t find them very easily.
Another advantage: Almost any low cost interlaced DVD player will provide much better DVD video and audio quality than the PS2. Of course a lot depends on the quality of your television and amplifier. If they suck, you might not notice the difference.
What have you got against Ebay? If money is a factor, and you don\'t mind used equipment, that\'s the way to go, m\'man. Believe it.

Look at Ebay ;)

Go to playthegames.com and go to their VCD section. They got a couple for a little over $100. It\'s the cheapest I\'ve ever seen.

Just wanted to say that I\'m not too keen about the title of this thread. I keep on forgeting about what "where?" is about and I have little input for this thread. For the next time please make sure that something vital to the thread (ex. for this thread "VCD") is in the title.
Thanks.
(Not to be all prissy and all, but this is the 8th time I\'ve been here and I\'m getting frazzled over nothing again.)
