Title: Favorite SNL skit
Post by: markc111 on July 05, 2001, 06:29:56 PM
I was just wondering what everyone\'s favorite Saturday Night Live skit is. Mine is definately the one where Mike Myers and Nicole Kidman are the kids on a playground, and Myers is very hyperactive and he\'s attached to a jungle gym by a harness. It\'s very funny. Not many people know of it though. Anyway, just post your fav SNL skits

ah theres so many.. well i can only narrow it down to 3

1. Short Term memory man

Tom  Hanks is in it and he has a short term memory and he forgets everything in like 2 seconds.  he is on a gameshow and he meets a celebrity and evert minute he turns to him and is all excited and asks for his autograph and then the celebrity gives it to him and he says " what? whats this? do u just go around handing them out like ur some bigshot?", because he forgot that he asked him for it. that one was good

2. Any of the Celebrity Jeopordy\'s- "BUCK FUTTER!"
"the Penis mightier", "anal bum cover" " febtober"
man connery is hilarious.

3. wake up america with cheri oteri wil farell and chris farley

they\'re talking to farley about his weekend and he says that he met will smith and cheri keeps asking him stupid questions and he is getting anoyed and she asks him when he met will smith like 4 times and finally hes like
"OVER THE WEEKEND U STUPID B!TCH !!!"
man thats good

CHRISTOPHER WALKEN!!!!

Remember Stalk Talk, a show where they interviewed several compulsive stalkers?  "I\'m your little bird, I\'m your little bird, BRAAWWWK BRAAAWWWK!"  "There were a variety of charges..."

How \'bout The Continental or the song he performed Boulevard of Broken Balls.  Man that hit me ... right here!

Yup yup, the SNL that was hosted by Christopher Walken is one of the best episodes of modern-day SNL.

As for my fav skit- Hmmmm, I\'d have to say Robot Repair with Phil Hartman.  It\'s on his best of Phil Hartman (SNL) video so rent it if you get the chance. :)

Oh oh and when Norm introduces his brother Gary MacDonald to do the news one time.  That skit is on the SNL 50th Anniversary VHS/DVD.

btw- Great topic!

I agree there\'s too many of em. A few other people might not know of some of the classics. Kevin Nealon\'s Newsbreak and the Hollywood minuite are awesome. Anything with Chris Farely, expecially the motivational speaker. The various.. Mr.\'s. (Mr Casual Sex, Mr. Masturbation, Mr. Robinson\'s Neighborhood.. ect.) , Toonses the driving cat, celebrity jeopardy, Waynes World, Daily Affrimation, The original Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy, and of course the Sinbad episode with the Gloria Brigade skit. Oh, and lets not forget the Samurai Tailor!!

Customer: "What\'s this?"

Hippy Clerk: "Oh that\'s a kabuki terror mask. It\'s used in ceremonial pubesence rituals to initatiat the young men into the tribe."

C: "Really?"

HC: "and you put your weed in here!! See it flips down and you can stash it."

C: "I see.. so this really was used in puberty rituals?"

HC: "Yeah.. and you put your weed in here!

Heheheheheh classic. :)

C\'mon guys you all know Celibretee Jepharty with Burt Reynolds and Sean Connery is the funniest.

Anything that came on in the late 80\'s to mid 90\'s is utter garbage. I can\'t believe someone mentioned Toonces the driving cat. BLAH.

BTW, I think "In Living Color"(In its prime) was funnier than SNL(In its prime). No one can mess with Homey the Clown; cuz he don\'t play that.

How can I forget about the McHerlehy (sp.?) Boy\'s dog sitting service. Adam Sandler is a boy pleading to people to let him watch their dog while they\'re away and do various things, like sleep in the owner\'s bed and put sweaters on the dog. Chris Farley is on the side screaming stuff like "For the love of god just let the boy sleep in your bed! What do you care, you won\'t be there. God!" after every request by Sandler. Very funny stuff.

There\'s also Head Wound Harry. The one where he went to the party and the dog was chewing on his head wound was great.

And Rob Schneider being "Richard" sitting by the copy machine. I think all of them are great.

I don\'t remember much about the episode but I know one I liked was about this woman with blonde hair and she kept talking about her 8 cats.

Another one was the pokemon one with the parents calling their kid a dumb@ss.

Speaking of which, Remember the In Living Color skit called "The Head Detective"? It was about a detective who was in an accident and doctors put him back together as just a head with Mr. Potato-Head feet and arms. Very Funny.
