Iv\'e just watched a television games program and they stated that there is a rumour
that Sony are seriously considering leaving out the Formula 1 type cars in the Pal Version of GT3
This imho force people into illegal chipping of their PS2\'s and quite willingly play illegal versions
of games. If this happens Sony will be pushing their customers into a cormer
and i will definatley get a mod chip inside my PS2
Hopefully this is just as it is... A RUMOUR. but if true then we should start a rebelion.
Us Pal gamers deserve more. has anybody heard anything on this? i\'ll leave the rest to you guys
Sony at this point in time are stretching the Pal peoples patience and i\'m ready to snap.
-
I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really hope its NOT true..
-
I know how you two feel, we get botched up games, and then it comes out MONTHS latter!!
I am greatfull though, i mean Australia is 5 % of the video gaming market! Still i don\'t care about 60hz, 60fps specs stuff. I just care about all the RIGHT gameplay been put in.
Not to mention how we pay extra here in AU (BLOODY DOLLAR!!)
-
If that Mosquito game never leaves Japan, I might chip mine as well. :D

Yep remember that joke I made about modchipping the PS2 when you said you sorted the RGB cable out? Well at the time it was a joke. Like you say though why should us PAL gamers suffer, longer waits, worser games and if this GT3 thing is true, toned down games.
A few more moves like this and ill seriously consider risking my warrentee.
I mean seriously the game is apparently coming out the 20th of this month. Removing cars must require more work than simply leaving them there, and then all the code will need tested for bugs, I can\'t think of any normal reason why they would do this. Are they mad?
-
My god... this is bad... very bad for all us Pal gamers. The patience is begining to dissappear...
-
Surely this wont happen cos there just isnt time for them to do it. Shops will have the game nearly a week before release, thats a week from now, there just wouldnt be time to change the code, and of course re-burn all the discs and publish them. I can\'t see it being true. Ar$e if it is tho...
-
next thing you know they will be cutting out courses, cars etc...or worse the whole game
-
The only clear thing is, that there will be no L. Diablo in the PAL version but an other (boring) car for it. No F1 cars would be horrible (like the very good i.LINK mode in the PAL-Version of Unreal Tournament)
-
I\'ll start whining about this when I see it. But even if it is true there are worse things that could happen... I mean, I want to drive cool cars, not F1. But as I said... let\'s wait and see shall we.
-
it Just seems strange to me that the review in OPSM2 hadn\'t mentioned any F1 cars either.
-
That sucks for Europeans... but that\'s no excuse to chip your system or break laws...
-
They had better not f**k about with the PAL conversion, or they shall all drown in sh*t.
My shop has now got a new GT3 demo for play, and I had a quick shot tonight, and it was with a Skyline, and it looked so wonderfull....
-
If that happens then i am going to get a import us copy, because i am feed up with ****ty games over here,i mean what is going on with the prices as well,i mean Onimusha is 45 pounds same as Red Fraction,.dont you think that is taking the piss, what i want to know is what the **** is going on?
-
Don\'t worry...nO-One will fix it
.

.
ohh wait I can\'t :(
sucks to be us huh

Its not the point though. I like you wouldn\'t use the F1 cars much but its the fact that they have excluded something for what seems like no reason whatsoever.
Ethan: Yeah what is it with pricing. Its like one shop sells a game for £45 so they all follow suit. Its always on the must have titles too. Its like Sony is making us suffer meaning that when the likes of Onimusha or Red Faction come out, both good games but both failed to live to the hype we buy them in the bucket full, like there was no tomorrow, so they charge £5 more.
I overheard someone else in EB complaining to his m8 about the exact same thing.
-
I was rather lucky to have picked up Onimusha for £37

Yeah, I\'m not saying it\'s ok either. It\'s just that if this is true then there are worse things that could have happened. But of course they shouldn\'t even touch it in the first place. :)

Come live over here then and see what it\'s like for games.
We dont wont things taken out of games. We didnt even get Parasite Eve, XenoSaga(or xenogears) and Tobal 2.
These are some big games that we didnt get. So I think it\'s ok to chip your system. But I\'m not doing it cause of the warranty thing.
Plus I\'ve already paid for my GT3.
-
I bet they are taking the F1 cars out to free up some space so that, the games wont **** up the European PS2 like in japan.
This could be a reason, what do you think?

Agreed. I don\'t pirate PS2 myself as im a wuss and wouldn\'t install the chip. However I don\'t look down at people in Europe who do, not after all this mess around we get with Sony. I mean im not saying its OK to pirate PS2 im just saying in a sense I don\'t blame them.
America\'s another thing though. They have no excuse to pirate games when they get them months before us. Running full speed, cheaper etc.
-
Being an American, I\'m tempted to laugh at you guys. However, I don\'t even have a PS2, so I can\'t laugh:(
-
Why am I not suprised?
-
it seems like they are taking stuff out of each and every version of GT3...i know they took out acouple good cars for the US version of GT3. Maybe it\'s because of legal issues or something, i dunno. It pisses me off but i\'m DEFINETLY still gonna buy this game on Wednesday.
