This game rocks graphically.I saw some time ago some DOA3 footage from CNN.IT LOOKED SUPERB!!!!!
The game seemed to run at a steady 75fps(my speculation)with some of the best effects I ve ever seen and lots of speed.
I was totally blown away.
BTW the blurr effects look awesome.
-
Nice, But I can guarantee, if you want to see that game look that crisp and sharp then you had better get a HDTV or Pc monitor.
Also when will dev\'s release pics of there games running on final hardware, I want to see the improvement. Probably not much at first, none the less it would be interesting to see, a video would totally rock

I like the girls hair, it looks very nice, like you can see individual strands blowing in the wind. I also like her facial detail, I think it is quite nice.

its not really the characters that impress me. There are better character graphics in existing PS2 games (i.e. The Bouncer)...its the backgrounds, they are rather impressive. But i still dont think these pics represent the leap in graphics that Xbox should have over PS2...it really doesnt represent a leap at all
this is console debating, i can express my opinion using another console as the basis :)
but they are pretty pics

I agree, DOA3 for XBox has impressive backgrounds.
I was purely talking XBox graphics, not comparing it to any other console :D
I like DOA2 for PS2 because of the level-interactivity and character models. Plus it\'s fun to play.

Thank heavens incomplete X-Box games on incomplete hardware doesn\'t represent a true leap over late first-gen and second-gen PS2 games :)

Or I should say oops or none of the games running at 60fps would look like running at 60fps on my TV:D

from bob:
damn, pity a television cant show higher than 60 fps
untrue....i want you to play Red Faction..which hits at 30 fps...and then go play Time splitters.....which hits in at 60fps. By your little theory timesplitters frame rate should be slowed down 30 fps..and there should be no difference between the two according to you theory. But you know thats BS dont you?? You gonna see a HELL OF A difference now wont you. Sounds like your theory is wrong. mabe in Australia Tv\'s cant do 60 fps..but apparently they can almost everywhere else.
I want you to tell me why a "cpnsole" game developer would design a game to play in a manner that a regular TV could not display? They wouldn\'t...games have been designed for a LONG time to run at 60fps....EVEN before there was such things as High definition TV\'s. Rememeber Killer Instinct gold for n64?? It ran at 60 fps...and there were no hdtv\'s in sight when that came out. Probully because Tv\'s CAN display it.
YOu know bob...your\'ve been quick to state a ps2 game which runs at 60 fps as an awesome feat... but everytime someone meantions an Xbox game running at 60 fps your quick to state that "too bad tv\'s cant go that fast". You cant play down this frame rate deal any longer dude.....you just make yourself sound EXTREMELY baised. Give that arguememnt up dude...cause it aint going to work for ps2 but against xbox. That makes no since
And you say bouncer has better graphics hey??...lets remember that game has a "BLURR" effect over the ENTIRE game in order to smooth stuff out and make it look better than it actually is. Thats really not impressive dude. Playing that game...I felt like I was losing my vision cause its used so HEAVILY.
Do you see any blurring in these photo\'s besides the intended "motion blurr" effects? No. There is no question that this game is graphically surperior to bouncer. You can give that argument up too.

Actually he just said TV\'s in general couldn\'t show HIGHER than 60 fps. He didn\'t say they couldn\'t show 60 fps.
-
he has said it before with me in ICQ when weve talked about the ps2 slow framrate problems. He was getting back to it in this thread.
-
Well you should of said that he said that in ICQ because what he said was correct.
We didnt know he said that on ICQ because we weren\'t chatting to him.
You should of stated that in your reply. Cause your first reply makes you look kinda dumb. Well thats what I thought at first.
-
Well, look what team ninja did with ps2 and dc(DOA2) so I have a good feeling they should have one of the best looking games on xbox. Team Ninja is some of the best programmer out there. Now where\'s ninja gaiden?

Learn how to interpret. He said TVs cannot display higher than 60fps. Meaning they can show images running @ 60fps.
edit: I see Sammy already took care of this one, my mistake. ;)

- the trick is to keep breathing.
-
Data and Sam pretty much already cleared that one up .
Bob did not say a TV can\'t display at 60 fps. He said higher then 60fps. He said that, due to the fact Unicorn! said he speculated the game was running at 75fps. Simple, eh? Okay, then. You are way to quick to get aggresive, so quick that you start "attacking" before you actually read the posts, I think.
As for DOA3, I personally dislike the series, but there is no denying that the game is gorgeous. The backgrounds are awesome.

Damn that chick has some booty :D

i wasnt referring to the framerates in games, i as referring to Televisions...NTSC televisions cant show higher than 60 fps...im pretty sure PAL TV\'s cant show higher than 50 fps
BTW, i really dont think Red Faction has a frameRate problem...its no TS...but its playable, and constant

i said The Bouncer\'s characters were better looking...i think they are much better looking, pity the backgrounds look plain and most of the time are ****ty (although some are impressive)
BTW, maybe its just the PAL version...but i didnt notice ANY blurring at all. It was sharp as a fricken tac, like those DoA3 pics
-
well i think the game does look nice but i don\'t expect there to be some huge improvement anytime soon - could be wrong but thats just me
wells heres to hoping they prove me wrong :D
