Hello
I have had a playstation 2 for just under a year and my wife and myself were living in America.
I have an American playstation but we have now moved to the UK.
I have bought a transformer from 110 - 240 volts and it works for about 15 minutes and cuts out.
I have other American products such as a CD writer and Palm pilot etc which I also use transformers with but these are OK.
Could anybody help me out or do I have to buy and English machine.
Cheers
Sean

You should buy a PAL PS2.
When the HDD and stuff like that arrives you must import a American HDD a.s.o

Welcome to the board.
Ignore him. I imagine a post like "you should buy a PAL PS2" when you have spent money on an NTSC American one is anonying to say the least.
Anyway I can\'t help you. You did however do right in getting an American PS2 just for the import games.
A bloke called Ethan_Hunt has an American PS2 and is in the UK so maybe he can help you.
Good luck.

Are you sure that it\'s 110 to 240 Volts and not the other way around?
You need a good step down converter to keep it powered up. It probably sucks out more
juice than usual, this probably is down to the speed of the cd drive considering that it is about 8 times the speed
of a dreamcast.

Sounds like an overheating problem aswell due to the transformer(optimus prime......snigger), but then hey, what do I know.
