The animation starts as a retro videogame which crashes and then dissolves into a sub story about
the main protagonist, the robot T2B 12. In these stills
he\'s being attacked by a living table and a man made
out of bottles.
The movie is about 5 and a half minutes long ( short ).
It is actually my main project in Arts academy and I graduated with this animation at 80 % out of 100%.
( that\'s about a B+ I guess..... )
Made it all in Maya.
Maybe more pics will follow. BTW the quality is less due
to compression procedure of the website it\'s on.

I guess you\'re not on a 10-point scale. Here in Georgia an 80 would be a B-
But in any event, I would love to see the entire animation!
-
Well, to keep it in the middle, let\'s
say it\'s a B.
Point is we graduate in two fields, my main field
being \'Animation\' which got me 8 out of 10 and my
second field was \'2D design/sketching \'which was
at 8 out of 10 as well.
Keep in mind this is the final graduation project.
The committee of teachers are NOT \'giving points
away\'.
To compare : most of my fellow animation students got 8 and 7, which made the Animation field at our Academy
one of the best. Fields like classic Arts and Painting had
mostly 6 and 7, being the best of those fields.
So with my double 8 I ranked 2nd next to a guy who had 9 and 7.
About the whole animation. Maybe I can get it on that
artsite someday soon. Now I\'ve only got it on DV cassette and seperate cd\'s.

Nice pix, I got rejected to a 3D animation school cause the classes were "full" for 2 consecutive years

Hey Toxical where\'s that 3D school, and
what\'s it named ?
All I know about is a school in Sillicon Valley
named L\'Expo which is supposed to be top
notch. But the money you have to pay for the
program is kinda out of my reach.
They teach stuff like Maya and SoftImage and
they have a high profile reputation.
That\'s all I know.
BTW I learned Maya a bit when I was trainee at
a media company. 3 months of assignments with
Maya is the least one should spend with that software.

I think that it is pretty well made. I would grade it as a B+. Keep up the good work.

Upss! those pics are nice... you´re a excellent 3D artist, guy. I would like a lot do those renders... what program did you used?
-
Adan,...can you say Maya 3 ?
btw the first pic is done with raytracing, because
it creates a nice \'refraction\' effect on the \'airbullet\' which the robots fires at the table. ( in this pic the airbullet looks like a plate because I animated a deformation in
it just before it evaporates. ( the ppl on the painting in the background are Stalin, Hitler, Milosevic and S. Hussein , because of the War topic )
In the other pics you can see some motion blur. They are
without raytracing. So most of my movie is done without that because I was on a tight schedule and raytracing kinda doubles rendertime on my 667mhz.
Also note that these pics look like crap compared to the movie when it\'s on a tv screen. I render at PAL 768 x 576 pixels in AVI format. The artsite I put em on demands to compress them to 400 x 400 at least at 72 dpi, so lotsa quality gets lost.
I\'ll put some more pics from other scenes up next week.

nice stuff dude
i think it would be awesome to learn how to do that as i have a really wicked and werid imagination and to put that into 3-D would just rule
well keep up the good work man

I would post some of my work...only I accidentally deleted it as well as everything else on my hard drive...:crying: Nothing like movies though, just pictures.
