Title: What are the best programs to have.

I don\'t create web graphics, but I did about 4 years ago. Now all I do is create awesome gifs and logo\'s.
This is what I have so far.

Flash..
Psp
psp Animation shop
Ulead photo impact
Ulead cool 3d

This is what I am getting next. Corel draw, and bryce 3d.
 Anyone know of any other cool programs I should get?

Cool man. I also create logos and stuff.

I use Paint Shop Pro 7 and Animation Shop 3. Also, trying getting Xara 3d for like 3d text, it\'s pretty cool.

What plugins do you use? I use Eye Candy, Xenofex, and Axion Lens flare.

I downloaded Flash 4, and it\'s hard to use, so I dumped it.

What do Ulead photo impact and Ulead cool 3d do?

I use basicly the same plugins. Photo impact is simular to psp and photoshop. And coold 3d allows you to create 3d text , objects and stuff. I love the lead products. I think photo impact is awesome.

Hey man, you should try out Macromedia Fireworks 4. It\'s totally great. You can even download a 30 day demo @ http://www.macromedia.com. :)

I do web graphics and some, errr computer "art". I use :

Ulead PhotoImpact (it\'s a bit of a child\'s toy, when compared to PhotoShop. Useful at certain occasions)
Ulead GIF Animator
Coler Draw 8
Corel Photo Paint 8
Adobe PhotoShop 6 (The ultimate program. I can spend endless hours building new ideas and designs. Actually, I use 5.5 more, because the interface is much better and faster)
Adobe ImageReady 3
Paint Shop Pro 4 ("You\'re on day 989 of your 30 day trial period")

Useful programs all.

I\'m also experimenting with Merlin VR and Strata 3D (free 3D programs)


btw, if you have Ulead PhotoImpact, the GIF animator is completely free, just download the full version from Ulead\'s website. I was pleasantly surprised by this.

Wow, thanks for the info guys, even though I didn\'t start this thread. heh.

I already have Xara 3d. Is it similar or better than Ulead Cool 3d? Where I can I find Cool 3d? Is it worth the download or whatever?

I have been using PSP since it was 4 and when I downloaded a trial version of Photoshop, I kinda got lost, so I stuck with PSP. The latest version, 7, is awesome enough for me.

Heh, I know Maya and 3D Studio MAX are awesome 3D proggies... but the price! Ouch!

I own 3D Studio MAX 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 4. It wasn\'t cheap I tell you. ;)

Oh, I have Softimage and Maya too. :D

All those programs suck, PSP sucks, PhotoShop sucks, 3D Studio MAX sucks, none of you guys can compete with my super powerful graphics program.

I used to just have paint but I just recently got Paint Shop Pro 7. Boy was that expensive! ;) heh
You know what? On my old comp, before I reformatted my HD I had PhotoShop, PSP, Corel Paint, TONS of great graphics programs, but since I bought my comp from my uncle I didn\'t have the disks for them and at the time I was too stupid to realise I had a treasure trove of art programs just sitting there.
So when I reformatted the hard drive....they vanished into the neverending ether of binary oblivion, or something.

Anyway, Flash 5 rules. Very easy to use but very time consuming as well.

Yeah, I agree. I use Photoshop (5) a lot, more than other programs, like Word :D :D You don´t know for what... Hawke (or fastson, I can´t remember right now) knows very well for what :D :D

i-Photo Plus and Cool Page are my fav. programs. Not very professional but easy to handle and cheap.

I have Adobe Photoshop 6 and 3D Studio MAX 4.  I still need to spend a lot more time with both of them, though, especially 3DS.

Without Photoshop I think my heart and lungs would both shut down.  That is by far the best graphics program I have ever used.  Oh and 3d Studio Max 4.  I just wish I had time to learn it better.  Photoshop I am fine with, 3D studio takes some time.
