Title: Spy Hunter- Impressions
Post by: on July 12, 2001, 11:26:16 PM
Haven\'t played it too long, but I must say, this game is way better than I thought it\'d be.

Graphics: Most of you are playing GT3 lately, so you won\'t be blown away, but they\'re above average, very clean looking.

Control: Typical arcade racer controls, and weapons (so far) dont really make it more complicated. You use the R1 button, like in TMB to shoot...

Gameplay: So far, great. It\'s fast, and fun. I suck, so I\'m not finished all the training objectives yet (Ive only played for 15-20 mins). I was flying down the track at a good clip when I jumped a ramp, everything slowed to a crawl... Oh no, slowdown!  Nope, the camera pans around the car (Matrix style) as it starts acting like a transformer... it turns (very well Ill add) into a boat! Now im on a water course. That really impressed me (the 1st few times).

Anyways, I\'m mad hyped about the game now, this games the **** right here. I\'ll add anything I need to later to the thread after more playtime. I\'ll answer q\'s too...

It hasn\'t come out, but there\'s a version floating around the internet. I hope he\'s not posting impressions of a pirated-yet to be released game. That would be bad. If I am wrong about this pm me, but until then this thread is closed.

Krimson assures me that this is a demo for the game that he got from a friend that works at the store, so I\'m opening this back up. Enjoy.

Thank you . I would like to also state, I do not condone piracy in any way, even of previews. It hurts the industry and ultimately the gamer. It, as I told aaron, is a authentic preview game.

As for the game, after more playtime I noticed the nuances of the graphics better. The slight blurring of objects along the road side as you fly past em, the nice reflection in the water, if it weren\'t for the weak interaction graphically between the boat and the water, I would dare say the water parts are spetacular... at least its krazy fun. :) I can\'t wait to pick it up myself come release time.
