The first load of hard drive units sold out in approximately 1 hour. The demand is still strong but Sony are keeping their production rate up, with a second shipment of HDD\'s to arrive on August 3, a mere week after the first shipment arrives. This is a good sign for Sony, as alot of people were/are critisising the unit for being too expensive.

Yeah I don\'t blame them personally. If theres demand for it they mess well sell it. Lets just hope it doesn\'t turn out like the PS2 itself with shortages in Europe and America and Final Fantasy sitting there on peoples shelves unplayed.

I\'m pretty sure the only thing HDD will do for FFX is speed up those nasty "waiting periods" between movies and action.

The thing is,is the jap do like there Final Fantasy over there,so anything to make the experience better,i am sure they are up for it.
Or Sony has used the right marketing agian, and if they can make this sell well, then i think they are going to be fine this generation.
