Title: DVD info for those in the UK
Post by: Rick on July 17, 2001, 09:01:21 AM
I\'ve been looking on region 1 dvd websites, and if you take postage into account, you are looking at just over 15 squid per DVD, yes?

I was in the Trafford Centre on Sunday, and Music Zone sell just about every DVD (except specials with 2 discs, i.e snatch) for 15 quid, so there aint really that much point getting region 1, except for earlier release dates.

Just thought i\'d let you know....

Lets see. Yeah Trafford Centre is decent. I\'ve been to the shop you mentioned a few times.

http://www.futureent.com do some decent region 1 DVDs, fairly cheap too. As you say though if you can go to a local highstreet shop like Virgin Megastores and pick them up for a little more theres no need to import. However stuff like Terminator 2 still hasn\'t been released here, whilst its been out in America for ages. Also Nightmare On Elm Street boxset, although not released here yet will only include 5 films, its not even the complete version (American version has all 7 films and a extra DVD).

I don\'t personally watch DVDs that much anyway. Im more concerned about buying DVD Region X for the green screen remover.
