Well about two minutes ago I was at ps2.ign and I was reading about Final Fantasy X being advertised all around Japan.
Then out of nowhere the screen shakes and I heard this deep voice scream something but I couldn\'t make it out.
I was thinking WTF!?!?!?
I remember someone saying it in a thread a few days ago.
Well anywayz has anyone else have this happen to them?

Yeah, ViVi, that\'s happened to me. I think it had something to do with the Planet of the Apes ad that sometimes pops up at IGN. Just a little something to get your attention. ;)
-
"Bow your head!" an advert for Planet of the apes. There is a quick pop-up window of an Ape, then shrinks to a smaller window at the top of the page.
-
This has happened to me before, but it says:
"KILL THEM ALL!"
I think...it\'s an ad from Planet Of the Apes, a quite one might I add.
-
yo that would be cool to have a ape livin in your computer....
-
Yep it\'s stupid ads. They had a pterodactyl fly across the screen about a week ago. That site is pretty sad now. Actually ps2IGN is good, the rest are pitiful now.
-
there is a minitrailer that will play when you are on ign.com, these advertisements are just getting worse. i cant figger out how to close um!
-
ya that happened to me, scared the hell out of me.
-
I hate those overlapping adds. TheGlobe.com has a coke advertisement that lasts for 20 seconds, but for 20 seconds it is covering up the exact link I want to click on! Grrrrrrr!

well i got that damn purple tint too
pain my butt really - especially when there is a purple color somewhere and it shows as white - i have no i dea what the deal is but this is not my PC so i could care less right now

lol that happened to me too - but it was over so quickly that I blamed my tiredness, and quite quickly shut down computer afterwards, and went to sleep.
It sure was a weird one - but didn\'t have the power to shock me. But I was amazed.

I recently got a link from some random idiot on ICQ (hey, the message didn\'t include the word "hot" like every other one, so I assumed it wasn\'t pornographic) and chose it. A large picture of some monster red guy appeared on the screen, some evil voice began talking, and my browser started shaking and floating everywhere. It was pretty freaky.
Solved by an easy right click+close on the taskbar though. I\'ll see if I can find the link, it wasn\'t a majorly bad thing or anything, actually kinda funny if you\'re expecting it.

Yeah, that was me. I was pretty freaked at first, because I had headphones on and the volume was pretty loud. :D
Effective ad though...

Effective in scaring people away from IGN. ;)
