Has anyone on the forum skydived? I would imagine those in the army have. But anyone else? As a sport? I ask, because I have been curious about it for along time and my 18th birthday is coming up in alittle over a month and I found a place that will train me and so on.
The most I\'ve ever free-falled was 150 feet at 70mph. Was excellent fun. But, I\'m curious as to if anyone else has had ANY experiences skydiving ? It doesn\'t matter what kind (tandem / static line/ etc). Just any information that anyone has had.
I\'ve already looked on the \'net. But I want to hear real life stories of people I trust.

I\'ve seen a lot of friends videos. They look like they are having a lot of fun!
I did and indoor skydiving thing at Dollywood (Dolly Parton\'s theme park)! It\'s this big room with a couple giant fans in the floor. You wear a parachute suit and just jump of this ledge out straight, and you glide to the other side. It\'s expencive, so I didn\'t get to do too much. But it was fun, and non-life threatening! I felt like I was floating for hours after, a good kick of adrinaline always feels good!

It looks fun, though I wouldn\'t exactly like to have the same mishaps some idiots on select television programs have.

Nope, I haven\'t skydived yet.
The closest I have been to skydiving is going on an airplane.. Or how about jumping off a cliff into water? lol...

My buddy and I both went skydiving last October after we turned 18.
He liked it more than me... It wasn\'t a big enough rush for me... I mean you\'re falling, but that\'s it... I got a video of it, though, and on the way down I was waving every hand gesture I could think of to the camera. It was a good time, real expensive though.
Like I said, my friend thought it was a true blast...
I\'ll do it again someday.

It is $150 here, which includes training for your choice of falling (AFF/Tandem/StaticLine). I know once you get your lisense the price goes down to around $20 each time.
What method did you fall Eik?
