Great news ! ;) ...and with FFX coming...:)
-
I LOVE SONY!!!
-
FFX might have something to do with that. Japan might realize that gba is nothing but a low end snes.
-
Why is this special, isn\'t PS2 normally the best selling?
-
Lately the best seller was GBA, now with FFX PS2 is selling very well. Almost 90,000 consoles in one week is a great cypher.
-
I see... then good job Sony!
-
Great news considering how much more the PS2 is to the GBA,i think that the price cut helped, also that GT3 had a big thing to do with that,i think PS2 future in japan is secure.

it has been secure ever scince the first weekend of sales......
but it has to start selling better in the us and other countries. gt3 will help those sales though. cuz its a system seller.:clown:

ahh, reminds me of the good ole days when we would regularly see Saturn sell 125,000 a week. THOSE were the good ole days.
Overall for a new console, PS2 is selling worse than it should be with exactly .002% competition between the same generation current consoles.

The Saturn never sold 125,000 in one week. I don\'t think it even sold that much on it\'s launch.
-
Actually 88,000 consoles sold in a week for any system a year after its release in a non buying period is fantastic
and thats just Japan
GT3 has been released in the States, and now over in Europe so it should be interesting to see the consoles sold for that week across 3 territories
-
I\'m talking Japan here Kenny, which Saturn sold over 5 million consoles in in the first year alone.
And YES, we would regularly see that happen, but you were too entranced by the wonders of Toshinden to notice.
Read: in America, saturn sold horribly.

WHy am I not too gitty and all happy about this? Oh yeah I just remember I don\'t get a dime of the money from sony:(
-
well what makes me happy is that the more PS2\'s sold the bigger the userbase the more money devs will be willing to sink into their games
