"Yesterday in Japan, Square held a Final Fantasy X sale commemoration event was at the Virgin Megastore at the Shinjuku branch in Tokyo. During the event, it was announced that 2,140,000 copies of the game were already sold through pre-order, and another estimated 1,500,000 would be sold within the first day or so."

Maybe the 10 million mark is a possibility.

I don\'t know where these people got these numbers from, but they\'re wrong.  Square shipped 2.14 million copies today.  It hasn\'t been reported yet if all of them were sold out or not.  But, 1.6 million of them were already pre-ordered.  People always get mixed up with how many games are shipped and how many were actually sold. :cool:

Yeah, noticed that too sometime after my original post. Still, pretty impressive.
