I remember it was like 1985 and I feel in love with the cartoon He Man. For some reason I loved that cartoon so much. I had the all the action figures the castle and all. I even remember the He man and shera cartoon movie. I think it was about a year later when I started watching thundercats I had the the characters and the thunder tank and all. After that I believe it was the gummy bears, care bears, and rain bow bright(I know that was a girl cartoon but I loved it). Soon it was Fantastic Max. Man that little diaper boy brings back so many memeories....I can\'t remember all the cartoons of the 80\'s because man there where a lot of good ones I like that I have just forgot. Oh yeah I remember watching that Hulk hogan cartoon I think that was the worst cartoon I ever seen. I think around 10 I use to watch this cartoon it came on a low bottom channel in MI. The cartoon was called Max cruisaders(I think I spelled it right) Man that cartoon rocked. I was never a G1 joe fan of any nature I think it was old and they where trying to bring it back I just did not like it. But I thought the movie was kind of good. I remember when the blond guy got bit bye the cobra guy and they thought he died. When I was 11 I loved darkwind duck .At 13 in 1993 I started watching dragon ball. I also loved gargoyles. That cartoon rocked. I guess from the 80\'s-1993 I was a cartoon buff. I guess at 14 I got in highschool and started dating girls(damn those girls) But I there where a lot of good cartoons in the 80\'s I wish I could go back in time and enjoy those moments all over again:(

I was in extacy when Cartoon Network re-ran Thundercats! I watch every, and I mean evey episode. The only other cartoon that I\'ve seen every episode was Gundam Wing.
But back to Thundercats! The Cat Call is my desktop! Eveyone my age knows who they are.
An how could I forget He-Man. Orko was my favorite!
You don\'t get that quality these days.
Do you remeber "Silver-Hawks?" The voice for the cowboy guy was also the voice of Lion-O.
Also a lot of the voices in Thundercats were used for multiple characters. The most obvious were the "Dark Spirits" and "Panthro," he hardly changed his voice at all! And ech character had their own unique theme music. Cheetarah with the upbeat music, Snarf with the goofy tunes, Panthro with the techno.
I can go on and on and on about the Thundercats!

I am not sure because this was a family series. That name you said sounds kind of eroctic to be what I am talking about. I don\'t think it was called passions but I could be wrong.

I\'m sorry, I was messing with you. Passions is a soap opera on tv today, that has a witch with a talking doll named "Timmy."
If memory serves me right, there were two movies about a live manaquin. And there was a show of a girl robot. Could either of those be it?

Oh my bad then. But anyways the tv show was about this ventriloquies doll that this family has I don\'t remember how they got it. But it comes to life and can talk everything. And they are trying to keep it a sercrete. But is not a movie. It was a tv show.
Oh are there anyone out there who was a fan on my sercrete Identity. I will sing a little of what I remember of the shows theme music. "cough" "Clears throaT" Ok... you nevr guess my secrete Identityyyyy. Know one can guess my secrete identitiy.
That is all I remember of the intro.
Oh yeah any Night Rider buffs out there. I had the car and everything I had to be about 6 when it first came on but I loved that fast black talking car.

Yes, yes there was. I remember the first one very fondly. It was my favorite movie when growing up. It convinced me that the love of my life would be found in JC Penny.
Too bad the sequel sucked.

Well, from the 80\'s I don\'t remember much - but some of the pop-things from that decade survived to the 90\'s.
And I must say I enjoyed Teenage Mutant Hero Ninja Turtles a lot - and I believe it is from 80\'s. I watched every cartoon-episode from television, read every comic of \'em I could find, played the nintendo-games with my friend to death and collected the action figures.
Oh and they re-ran the Alf-series on mid-90\'s, if I remember right, and I loved it - watched almost every episode.
Movies WORTH mentioning from the 80\'s:
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ( I believe Raiders was done on late 70\'s - I might be wrong \'tho )
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade ( BEST indiana Jones ever )
The Abyss
E.T.
Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
etc.

Oh yes...He-Man...;) My brother and I had all of the action figures. I was so young, maybe 6 years old. I was sad the day my parents told my brother and I that we had to give them up.
Later in life, I moved to the little, green plastic army men. And then Gi Joes...er however you spell that. And then Ninja Turtles...good ol\' Ninja Turtles. Beebop and Rocksteady all the way, man...:) *sniff* :( *sniff, sniff, sniff* :crying: Why did you have to bring up old memories...:crying:
EDIT: Forgot about Voltron, Thundercats, and Transformers...;)

U remember alf? hes back... in pog form ;)
I was born in 1985. The only thing i can remeber watching from the eighties is SNL with my parents, i didnt get the jokes but i just laughed when my parents laughed... i guess it was probably weird for my parents when i laughed at a sexual joke that they were laughing at considering i was only 4 or 5.

Does anybody remember Rockit Robin Hood. It was a poorly animated cartoon series made in the 70\'s. Rockit Robin Hood and his merry men were from the year 3000! It\'s kind of funny though that the computers they used were the size of Refridgerators! I have about 40 episodes on tape. The cartoon is hilarious because the animation is so poor.

nothing beats the Transformers and GI Joe cartoons...

Ahhh I absolutely loved the 80\'s, this is an awesome thread..
my FAVOURITE show of the 80\'s was transformers, i\'m surprised it took so long to pop up in this thread. We had SO many of the toys, a whole crate full. Second to that show was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, that took ages to pop up here too which is surprising. I also loved voltron, and one that hasn\'t popped up yet, Dino Riders.... ahhh those were the days
The transformers just can\'t be beaten :)

Yeah transformers was awesome. The movie was even better:D My brother in law(who is deceased now:( Had all the transformer toys he collected them. I mean that was when companys made good toys. Some times we may get one or two if we are lucky(We we get the crapy ones) But all the goodones are kept in storage. I mean he has them all I just like sitting back and looking at them even though I can\'t touch them.
-
ahhh the memories, there was NO satisfaction quite like opening up a brand new transformers toy when you were little, it was the best experience ever. Then when you collected all the interfactions, like contructicons, aerial bots, stunticons etc. and made up the big transformer they all made, it was just greatness. We had devastator (all the constructicons united), bruticus (all the combaticons united), all the aerial bots united (forgot the name somehow), and all i wanted was menosaur (all the stunticons united)
all 4 minor stunticons, which made the 2 arms and two legs, but never got motormaster... which was the main part. i couldn\'t even make PART of menosaur, so devastating
ah well, that\'s my little story for you all for today :D
