Well seeing how they spent about 150million on the movie and it took them 4 years. This information was reported on access hollywood so they did not spend 200million or so like some ppl in here where claiming.
The movie has only made 24million it\'s about dead now. It is barely in the top ten movies now it is slowly droping off. From 7/11-7/20 it only made 1million dollars. I guess it\'s about dead.
I don\'t know if they would spend that much money. And it not do well.

No, I dont think there will be, unfortunately. People would rather see shit like Jurassic Park and Legally Blonde. I swear, people wouldn\'t know a good movie if it had intercourse with their hindquarters.:nerd:

I totally agree. It is unfortuate that Hollywood operates on profit margins. I would love to see a series of FF in the same fasion, completely non-related to each other, but with subtle connections that keeps the series connected. That would be cool. Maybe it can follow like "The Land Before Time" I think only the first few were actually in the theater, but there are like 12 on video.

The movie was a bomb at the box office, and like Weltall said, people like **** movies like Legally Blonde or crap like Schindler\'s List. I don\'t think we will see a sequel. Maybe a direct to Video/DVD sequel perhaps.

Personally, I hope not. I didn\'t care for it or Tomb Raider.

they are already working on the sequal...and i was uner the impression that they were making it a trilogy
just wait til the movie is released in Japan...then the box office money will go up :)

It is a shame that it bombed on theaters - but I have to disagree that Schindler\'s List is cr4p. It is one of the greatest pieces of film ever made - truly a masterpiece - and it isn\'t a happy average-Spielberg tale.
The greatest thing wich interests me in Schindler\'s list is that it is a true story, and told from the jews\' point of view - the message is truly horrible.

Though I\'ve never seen all of Schindler\'s List, I must say that from what I have seen and heard, it\'s exceptional.
I highly disagree with your categorizing Jurassic Park with Legally Blonde.
I have yet to see the FF movie, so I can\'t judge. However, I think it\'s plausible that they might make a sequel on a lower budget. At least, if Square is at all interested in continuing to make movies, they will probably go with future Final Fantasy movies rather than some other franchise, simply because it is more recognized, etcetera. I would think that a sequel to that wouldn\'t be as expensive, either, considering how things like character design are already covered.
..unless they started from scratch, I don\'t know.

Hey I liked tomb raider. But I could careless for FF movie. Since it has nothing to do with the video game and I have seen that alien plot too many times. If they do make another I hope it is strait port to dvd/video and they base it off the video game.
