I just have to say that this game looks utterly A M A Z I N G!!!
Its currently being developed for XBOX (am I allowed to say that word???) but they are considering bringing it to PS2 aswell...

With the power of PS2, I cannot see why this game couldn\'t be ported.
Oh, and by the way its the sequal to DC racer MSR.

Eh? You should see this game in motion. I got to attend the Microsoft Expo a few months ago and this game was previewed . It was friggin\' amazing and in my opinion puts Gran Turismo 3 to shame. The headlights had perfect reflections, mist came off the track, every building was in high detail with lighting, signs and much more. Gran Turismo 3 looks great, but Gotham was just amazing in motion. It is the ONLY Xbox title that has truly amazed me. I really doubt we see something like this on the PS2.
As for the playing comment- well Bizarre did make one of the best racing games on the DC, Metropolis Street Racer. I won\'t say it is better then Gran Turismo or not, because they are two different styles really. But it was a very original racing game.
If Bizzare keeps the graphics like they are (I can\'t even imagine them gettin\' better) and makes another original racing game like Metropolis, then Gotham could very well be a huge hit.

I played the DC one,but i dont know why people liked it soo much,it just got boring for me,also how many cars are there going to be in it?also how many cars are going to be on the screen at the same time?
But i do have to say the graphics do look good,but it doesnt amaze me,but the headlight reflections look good,but i guess i will have to see the game in motion.
I think that you probably would be able to do that on the PS2,but i guess we will just have to wait and see,but i bet this will be an exclusive,microsoft will probably just give them some money,like they always do!

Project Gothem does NOT look better than gt3!!!! As for project gothem it looks cool, but at e3 it was running at 20fps so I guess it should look pretty good.:D :thepimp: :thepimp: :thepimp: :thepimp:

Yes it does. I\'ve seen movies of this game, it\'s awesome. It doesn\'t blow away Gt3 though, it just looks clearly better.

I\'m opinion completely neutral on this. I don\'t own PS2 or Xbox and actually I plan on buying PS2 later on. In fact, I would like to see PS2 get better games than Xbox. But the game simply looks better and to deny that would be a bald face lie. \'Nuff said.

I hated Metropolis, so I don\'t think I\'ll like this one. If they want to bring it to the PS2, more power to them. I doubt it\'ll happen though, cause Microsoft will just throw some more money at them to make it an exclusive. Actually I thought they had already done that.

Both games look great. Project Gotham\'s cars are little bit more detailed and the environment mapping is better, on the other side in GT 3 there are more cars on the screen (at once). Both games have their own advantages and disadvantages graphic-wise, so doesn\'t make a huge difference.

I don\'t see the biss fuss about those shots. The backrounds are boring, and the cars looks nice. Big deal.

PG wins with the better looking backrounds and more detailed. Like LIC, I think/ know it\'s better looking(he doesn\'t know;)). The cares have twice as more polygons almost, wouldn\'t you expect it to look better?
I don\'t see why everyone cares PG looks better than GT3. I thought this was the best racing game ever? Then forget about how it looks and play it dammit.

I don\'t care about the comparision, I\'m all for more quality games on the PS2 and PG looks pretty good. I\'d love to see it on the PS2.

I guess fastson is afraid to say gotham does look better. Or maybe he is just a tipical fanboy. The backgrounds the cars all put gt3 to shame. And for the gameplay well gt3 is a different type of racer so you can\'t even compare the two. And from what I have read Project gotham was supose to be leaps ahead of msr. There are things I hated about msr. But they say all those nagging msr problems are long gone in project gotham so this should be a awesome racer.

Microsoft is the publisher so you will not see PG itself on the PS2. That doesn\'t mean that there is no hope for future BC titles coming to the PS2.
Anyway, In-Living-Clip, I am glad to hear someone else mention the headlights. I was the same way with Halo\'s Jeep :)
I actually prefer GT3\'s visuals, there is a certain gritiness to them that adds a higher sence of realism. PG\'s car models (14k-16k polys per model)and back grounds are better though as well as the lighting/reflection.

100% agreed, MSR was the game that (nearly) made me buy a DC, I played it at a shop and I was like " **** this game stinks, graphics , gameplay and sound where horrible"

GT3 looks like crap. The resolution is low and the textures are horrible. The game seriously looks like the PSX versions at times. I don\'t know, but that is just me. Project Gotham blows it away by a mile graphically but I doubt the game will be as good.

Gran Turismo 3 cars look great, but the backgrouns in PG put Gran Turismo\'s to shame. I personally don\'t see the big deal in it. Both games will play totally different, so it will come down to gameplay and which the consumer prefers.

crystal balll is telling me that the consumer prefers GT3. :)
Of course, this is through franchise, and mindless sheep syndrome. No matter how good PG is, it will never sell as well as GT games.

Gothem looks awesome nuff said. i blows gt3 away visually.
First the car models look better the is no questioning this. Everthing on them is fully modeled EVEN THE RIMS. Cant say that about gt3 can we? the rims SWITCH from 2d textures to 3d textures depending on whether are not you can see them....AND YOU CAN SEE THE SWITCH!!!
Second the game was running at 30 fps at e3 NOT 20 fps. (dev support said the said it should EASILY hit 60 fps when its ported over to final hardware)
Third the game has CAR DAMAGE!! you can actually run into a wall and bust your headlights so then you have to finish night time races with no headlights at all. :D
Fourth.....the environmental effect put gt3 to shame. When it rain....water puddles actually build up in certain spots. The drainage manholes of new york have the steam and everthing coming out......and when you race through the stream its parted by your car like it would be in real life. very awesome.
Anyone doubting this game greatness needs to download the e3 movies of ACTUALLY people playing it. The frame rate never stutters, and looks faster than 30fps if you ask me.

I want you to remeber that this game has not even been in developement for a whole year and its already surpassed gt3 visually and its up in running in playable form now. What does that mean? That it has all the time in the world to be TWEAKED to perfection. It took gt3 3 to 4 years to get finished.
gt3 and Gothem are two diffent types of racers. If you like simulators then you going to love gt3. But I hate simulators and i personally find that gt3 gets boring quick. And the sound for this game sucks....they tease you right in the beggining of the races with all the 5.1 sound bumping then when the race starts....you only have your center speaker playing? too bad ps2 cant do real time 5.1 encoding cause this game sucks sound wise with out it.
You can spend HOURS just tweaking your CIVIC to get better performance out of it and im sure some people think that is fun. But gothem is a pure action arcade racer were you can just pick up the controller and have fun with cars WE DREAM OF DRIVING. does gt3 have ferrari\'s? nope. Gothem does. I cant wait to get my hands on a modeana and reek havok on the streets of New York.:D
The game looks good. And with its 5.1 REAL TIME encodoing its going to sound good too. Really....its going to sound like you have a car in your living room if you have 5.1. and I for one cant wait. And.....yes.....Its a XBOX exclusive with No chance of it going to other platforms. Which means you racing fans might want to start saving your money for an xbox;) Cause this is looking to be a bad ass racer.

hmmm, what an interesting topic
i wont get this game...although im an arcade racer fan, i really havent played any racers that ive wanted to buy since Rage Racer. My personal fav. types of car games are ones like Twisted Metal and Vigalante 8...as well as Rock n\' Roll racing, and Wipeout.
As for graphics...i really dont see any difference...but as Soully said, GT3 was worked on for about 4 years, and the gameplay is almost identical to GT2...so i guess they were tweakking graphics and framerate that whole time. :) Graphically...GT3 probably has the edge for me, having more cars etc. on screen at once...im sure gotham will surpass GT3 by the time its released though

I think you may have misunderstood me (my bad because I was speaking too generally). :) MS is publsihing PG but beyond that it is all game by game. Since MSR is exclusive to Sega and still manages to appear on the Xbox exclusively, that hardly means that another MSR style game from BC won\'t pop up else where.

PG looks very nice IMO. I think it should look better, i think if the XBox is even 50 percent as powerful as its paper spec indicates it should put GT3 in 2nd place hands down as the best looking racing game. We will just have to wait and see about game-play, but if PG has any AI in it at all, it might win out right. :D

But i sort of agree with both of you two on the two games,for me somethings look better in GT3 nad other things look better in PG,but i dont really care which one is better,because if PG is good then i will get that,then i will have both of them,and wont give a **** which one is better,as long as i enjoy them both: )

My only gripe about GT3 is that there is very bad aliasing going on in the mid/back ground... Polyphony led us to beleive that the game would be fully anti aliased... Well, that didn\'t exactly happen...
THATS ALL I WANT, A nice SMOOTH, aliased free game...

depends on your TV, I palyed GT3 in japan on a very nice TV and it didn\'t have any jaggies at all

Yep ViVi you are right,just look at that grill that is horrid,the rest of the cars looks fine,but GT3 car models look good when you get up close as well.And anyway why are people argueing over PG and GT3,they are totally different games.

Now i thought the same,but they are not jaggies i dont think,they are really strange,i am not sure but i do think it is a form of Anti Anlising(think i spelt it wrong),look at it more closely next time you play,and let me know what you think: )
Because when you get up close,thing are really smooth,so i am not sure,is there any where we can find out about what they use in the game?
Also who gives a **** if PG has Ferrari\'s if i want to drive a ferrari i will play 355 challenge .I am also sure that GT3 has many more cars then PG does.:DSo surly you can add alot more polys to the cars then what GT3 has,also when you look at the job they have done on the cars in GT3 with 5000 polys,to PG 16000 polys,then the cars should look a hell of alot better.
