Here we go, lets liven this place up. Here is my question. Out of the systems you have owned, what is the "worst" you have owned, in your opinion.
Mine goes to the Virtual Boy. I\'m sorry, but any system that gives me neck cramps and kills my eyes (no jokes about the GBA, sheesh.;) ) is bad. I have 9 games for it and I can\'t honestly enjoy any of \'em.
My second worst console would be the 3DO. Out of the 90 games I have for it, I only enjoy maybe 3.

Turbo graphix 16 I have no idea why I even got this thing for christmas. My second is sega cd. It was pure crap I wanted it so bad because I seen in a magazine that you could hook sega cd and genesis up right next too eachother. What a load of crap that was.

I personally somewhat enjoyed my SegaCD. Sonic CD was excellent, Ecco was cool and the Lunar series.
And don\'t feel bad Raslant.. I bought my 3DO with 90 games (Yes, they made 90) and eight controllers on Ebay. I kept thinking how kick ass it would be, etc. It wasn\'t. The only games on it I enjoy are Trip D, D, Space Hulk and Gex.

Virtual Boy just plain out sucks. it was a bad idea right after they said "portable" hahaha
I liked 3DO for some reason, I guess back then it was something new.

Sega 32X
They only made a handful of game and then gave up. I wish they continued making games for the 32X, \'cause then it would have rocked.

Personally, I could not stand the N64. The look of its graphics and the way the controller felt and the stupid carts just irked me to no end. Sure, I admit whole heartidly that there was some great games on it, but man, as a console I just thought it was pure crap.

N64 here as well.
The blurry textures, the unstable framerates, the enviroments made of 3 blocks, the feature of fog in every game.. worse music than most SNES games, um I can go on and on. I sure as hell was glad when I got rid of it.

probably my Dreamcast...I only got one game for it (Sonic Adventure) I borrowed all the games I wanted to play for it (NFL2K1 and RE:CV) after that, sega announced that it was going stop production of them, then I new I had to get a PS2 if I wanted to keep playing games into the new year, so I sold it and goy my PS2!!!!!!! :):):)

Who gives a flying **** if they stopped production. I bought my DC last Christmas, knowing that Sega would most likely announce they will stop making DC games and move on to other system. But did I care? FUCC NO. The games were simply amazing and that\'s why I bought. The DC libary at that time made the PS2\'s libary look like crap, and still does. BAH!
I am also dumbfounded.
Anyways, the worst system I ever owned was also Virtual Boy. My eyes just couldn\'t take it and I got tired of seeing red and black all the time. Tennis was the ONLY good game for it.

My Dreamcast was the worst system I bought because I never played it. I\'m not saying it was a bad system and had terrible games, i just never bought any and it collected dust, so I used common sense.

Dreamcast? you guys are funny.
If you can\'t find any games on DC that are great fu to play, while still praising PS2 for it\'s great library, then I can\'t help you guys.
DC has been one of the most rewarding consoles I have bought into, not quite Saturn, yet, but it will be there with Shenmue 2 and PSO v.2, easy.

Anyway.. the worst videogame system I\'ve ever owned is undoubtebly the Game.com. Completely worthless; I still wonder what the hell I was thinking when I bought it.

I completely forgot about that! I don\'t know what came over me, but I for a Christmas my sister asked for a Gameboy Pocket, and I wanted a Game.com! Boy was I stupid!
Yeah, so now 32X is my 2nd worst system I\'ve owned. Game.com is now #1!

I love Resident Evil on my Game.com, sadly the rest of the games are crap.

I owned only 3 consolesm, snes, n64 and ps2. None of them are totaly crap, but n64 with its blurry/foggy graphics, yucky carts and horrible controller was the most dissapoing of all. But even n64 had some golden moments :)

1. N64 - No sports. No fighters. No variety.
2. PS2 - The games on the system still cannot even begin to compare the products that are on the DC a year ago.

Count me in on the dumbfounded ones also. The Dreamcast? What the hell? The system had so many great titles. Resident Evil: Code Veronica, NFL2K1, NBA2K1, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, House of the Dead 2, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Soul Calibur, Cannon Spike, Capcom Vs SNK and the list goes on and on. Sure, they may of stopped production after a year (in the US) but it was still a great year. The system was home to more AAA titles within that year then any other system in such a short time.

Mine is in great shape, albeit I have no overlays for my games!
And I love my 32X, as only a Sega fan can. I have 12 games for it, and about 8 of them are near classics in my mind.

Oh man the Vectrex. That thing was nice. Loved those vector graphics. I remember playing a football game where you could control your pass, man that was fun. I remember Spike was it? Ah well, those were the days.

Kolibri, Doom (not that bad), Spiderman: Web of Fire (good luck getting a hand, or even an eye on one of those, ex rare.), MotoCross Championship, Metal Head, and World Series Baseball \'95 (another rare one)
plus, I have the other ones you listed.
that said, I love my 32X.

Go rent Shenmue, Capcom Vs SNK, Cannon Spike, Phantasy Star Online, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Skies of Arcadia, Jet Grind Radio, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, House of the Dead 2, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike and so many more. I played so much Shenmue at my friends and I was less than impressed, Capcom Vs SNK, those fighting games are all the same, Phantasy Star online i played with my friend, it was alright but far from great like most people say, the only good RE was the first one, another fighting game, all the same, House of the dead got real old in the arcade, same old ****, another same old fighting street fighter, I would play Red Faction over any of those, same with TMB and GT3

Sonic Adventure and PSO are the only two games that I would but a DC for.
And I don\'t like spending $245+ for two games, not even $195+, when the DC price drops.
$245 = console + extra controller + mem card + both games
I could almost get 5 PS2 games for that!

Too late, already got a PS2, and I don\'t have an extra $245 for TWO GAMES.
And for those who don\'t have a PS2. Would you rather pay $245 for a dying system, or spend $100, $150 more on a next gen console like PS2, xbox, or gc, which will last at least a couple more years.

Shenmue - Is simply the most original game in along time for the consoles.
Capcom Vs Snk -Is not like every other fighting game. If you gave it enough time to actually learn the depth of the game, you would realize the Street Fighter series is simply huge and immersive.
Phantasy Star Online - which offline was rather dull , it was a blast online.
Resident Evil : Code Veronica - Surpassed the first one in almost everyway. The only way it could of been better, is if there was less ammo.
House of the Dead 2 - The only problem with it was the lack of a light gun.
As for Red Fraction and Twisted Metal: Black. Sure they are both good games, but how long did it take the PS2 to get these quality games? The Dreamcast had excellent titles from the start and is still comin\' out with more titles even though its "dead".
Sonic Adventure and PSO are the only two games that I would but a DC for.
And I don\'t like spending $245+ for two games, not even $195+, when the DC price drops.

I could almost get 5 PS2 games for that!
Too bad there isn\'t five PS2 games worth owning, yet.
(note that I said "yet". In a few months it will be alot different. Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid 2, Silent Hill, Virtua Fighter 4 and others.)

Who cares about when the system is going to die? I knew it, but I also knew it had plenty of great games to keep my lasted for a long time to come. :)

I have not played ALL those games, but I have played MOST of those games, and read up on the games that I haven\'t played.
I\'d be surprised if you played HALF of them...
Also, read up on them again. They ALL got good reviews.

Smugglers Run? While it was decent, it was hardly great.
ZO.E - :laughing: I guess it was "great" if you count the demo instead of the game
Crazy Taxi? Wait, I remember Sega developing that game and it being on the DC over a year ago!
Madden 2001 is nothing compared to NFL2K1\'s online play.
Le Mans Test Drive - I also remember that being on the DC along time ago.
Same with Rayman 2.
And either way - not owning a DC you miss out on alot of classic games. The PS2 doesn\'t have Soul Calibur, does it? Sonic Adventure? Jet Grind Radio? No.

Hence, if you have only owned a Dreamcast and a Playstation, one of those two would have to be the worst. Don\'t forget at some point in time, you only owned two systems yourselves and you\'d have to say that one of them was the worst you had ever owned if you liked it. I own enough systems that I truly have some crappy ones that I can say are the worst I have ever owned and mean that I hated them too. Settle down.

Soul Calibur - great game, however over rated
Any Street Fighter game - they rule, especially 3rd strike
CapcomVSMarvel - simply mindless 2d fun
CapcomVsSNK - best 2d ever IMO (coming to ps2)
RE:Code Veronica - I have it on ps2 and its great
Quake 3(online) - I have it on Pc
Unreal Tournament(online) - Ditto
Rayman 2 - I only liked the 2d raymans
Jet Grind Radio - so cool :) love it
Grandia 2 - never played, comes to ps2
Skies Of Arcadia - never played it :(
Samba De Amigo - played it in the arcade and I must say its pretty fun
Test Drive De La Mans - on ps2
Crazi Taxi 2 - somehow I preferred trazy taxi 1
Tony Hawk 2 - played the PC and psx version, great game
MDK2 - Don\'t like it, ps2 version sux IMO
NFL2K1 - I hate football, gimme soccer
NBA2K1 - ok game, nearly the same as NBA 2k
Virtua Tennis - great arcade/party game
Shenmue - intresting and deep
F355 Challenge - another deep racing game along the lines of GT
Soul Reaver - played the PC version which is better

Skies of Arcadia is the best RPG I have played in the past 3 or 4 years. I put it easily right behind Panzer Dragoon Saga. There are lots of random battles, but it is great.
Grandia 2 is also HIGHLY recommended. Although I prefer the first one over it, as it was longer. Good ole Saturn.

The Jaguar was cool. I love Tempest2000, Alien vs Predator and the list goes on.
I don\'t own a CD-I. I\'ve had a few chances to pick one up, just haven\'t yet. All in good time.

Anyways back to the topic. I can\'t really name a worst because I\'m a sucker when it comes to games and I can probably find ONE good thing about a horrid game and use that excuse to play it for hours. I just love games. I guess the most frustrating console would have to be the PSX. I got one at launch and at the present time I have owned 3 of them. This is not because I love it so much as it is due to it crapping out for no reason. Maybe the stores I shop at get the sucky units. Beyond that I have never really been disappointed with a console.

Don\'t feel bad. I\'m on my third PSX also. No other console I have owned has broken down that much. Infact, the only other console I have that doesn\'t work is an NES. My SNES actually got melted to the point it was this ugly deformed unit. Yet, it worked. Sure, it was somewhat of a hassle to get an actual game in it - but if you did, it loaded perfect.
The PSX just wasn\'t meant to last it seems. If I encounter the same problems with the PS2, I will not keep replacing it. Its just too damn expensive to constantly replace the same console over and over.
heh. What good does a CD-I do me without any hook-ups or controllers, Altered?

you could always try eBay for cheap hookups. Satyurn/PSX hookups probably work, too.
the controller could be an eBay item too, or look on some game sites.

I agree with Gohan, of course.
But of course, Bozco, we play games and not namebrands.
Anyone that has actually made an attempt to buy some of the great games for DC, as many as there are, would agree to some extent to that.
ALthough I would say DC ranks up there with Saturn as the best ever, or master system.
but thats me, Sega fan.

Whatever floats your boat Bozco. You are however in the serious minority among those who actually own a Dreamcast and have played most of its games. It\'s too bad you can\'t appreciate its greatness like the rest of us, but you don\'t have to start calling people names simply because they disagree with you.

my worst system..
it\'s hard to tell, i love every system i owned
but i didn\'t own many, my very 1st console was the master system (i am only 14, heh) and i loved that. then i got a sega megadrive which i also loved. then i got an n64, all because of mario kart, and i liked that.
now i have my n64 and a gba, which r both kewl.
i am still trying to pick between the ps2 and the gamecube.. *_*
i dont have a worst system..

I won\'t bother listing all the AAA titles the DC had again, for Bozco. If he wants to ignore a huge library of great games, just because, then that is his problem.

I don\'t even want to go into the Jaguar. I\'ve never owned a system that sucked. For me it went 1)Atart 2)Nintendo (8-bit) 3)Sega Genesis (It broke and I got a Sega nomad) 4)PlayStation and finally...PlayStation 2...:D I had the most fun with my Nintendo and Sega Genesis...but I was a kid then and everything was more fun...*sniff* :(

32x has to be the worst. It was a complete waste of money!There were only a couple of games to choose from, and most of them we\'re not good!
The Saturn was alright, but it didnt have enough games as the psx.
And the Dreamcast... Yeah it was great.. but Sega killed the dreamcast, and the 200 dollars I spent is only gonna last for another half of a year. If I knew it was gonna die, I could have saved that for GC.

32X - It had its gems. If you bought one when the price went down and picked up games like Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing, Star Wars Arcade and Space Harrier it can\'t be considered a waste. ;)
Saturn - It didn\'t have enough games? What? If you still have your Saturn I highly suggest you goin\' to Ebay.com and lookin\' around. There is a huge amount of great games for the system. They was just overlooked in the US.
DreamCast - We\'ve already had this discussion a few times in this thread.

32X was the worst system I have owned. Those games that you listed were about half of the games that were on there.
I got my saturn after I got my psx. And at that time, saturn wasnt as big as psx and all my attention and $ went to psx as far as the games went. Yea the saturn was great, and it still didnt have enough good games as the psx and still is the 2nd worst console I have owned.
Dreamcast is the 3rd worst on my list. I didnt say any of these console are bad, I said they are the worst that I have owned
