The Simpsons Road Rage

u heard me right, theres gonna be a simpsons game on ps2.   maybe the simpsons havent faired very well on the videogame market but this ones got me excited.... kinda.  The graphics arent great at all but it actually looks like there may be some good gameplay in this game.  Its described as a crazi taxi kind of game and by the pics it looks like that.  Mr. Burns has bought the public transportaiton system and has shut it down and the citizens of springfield cram the freeways and streets creating total vehical chaos.  sounds pretty cool to me :cool:

They made a game just like this, but the characters are flat.  Or am I thinking of this game?  And they changed the flat part?

This game looks awesome.  Everything is so cartoony.  Do you think there will finally be a good Simpsons game?

Ack!  Get rid of those polygonal models and replace them with cell-shaded characters!

But yah, the game does look like fun.

Heck no.  Keep the polygonal models.  The artistic style of this game is unlike any other game.  I love how they made the polygons look so cartoony.  I just can\'t get over that. :)

It looks fun, but I liked it\'s prequel\'s look moreso.  Maybe you heard of it, it\'s called Crazy Taxi.  :)

I\'m with Iron on this one. The polygonal characters look like the ones on that one Simpsons episode where Homer and Bart go sucked into that alternate universe. It was done using CG and it rocked!!

the game looks cool, but not worth 60$ when i could watch the tv show and have more fun.

to bad its is ending though.. last year!(rumored)

Ya, well i think its more of a renter anyway

And.... well if it went off air i would be kind of sad but i think if they dont shape up and write some decent episodes that it should go off air before it gets too dumb... this last season was horrible , the only one i liked was the "trilogy of error" the one where they show lisa barts and homers day.. well that is actually one of my favourites:)

I love the "Run Lola Run" parody they did on "Lisa\'s Day" of that episode!

I saw RLR when it was still a German-onlly movie.  Awesome flick.

That\'s a little...weird. I\'ll definitely rent this one. Looks like fun...;) I hope it doesn\'t get as old as fast as Crazy Taxi did.

Well, I\'m probably just being an asshole by pointing this out, but cel-shading uses the polygonal characters, its just an effect applied during rendering, so they wouldn\'t actually \'get rid\' of the polygonal models. But, I agree, but it seems this is less than likely, because they\'ve already done what looks to be a good amount of textures, which have the cartoon lines already there, which would look like crap unless they re-did all of the textures. Unless of course they used it only for the characters, but that may make the characters stick out just as much as they do now. And Run Lola Run kicks ass! I watch it on HBO whenever it comes on!

hmmm, definitely sounds to me like a game to look out for. I\'ve never been particularly excited about any simpsons game before, although I\'m a huge fan they always turn out less than average

but I\'mm actually excited about this one, and the kind of carnage gameplay that a crazi taxi sort of game offers seems perfect for a simpsons  game

Konami made The Simpsons Arcade...which IMO is the best simpsons game eva...

Being a fan of the simpsons i think this game will be great.  

hopefully better than simpsons wrestling.
